Ada Choi walks away from another TVB series

7 Jan – Actress Ada Choi has turned down another TVB series after withdrawing from "Ghost of Relativity" previously.

As reported on HK Channel, the actress, who was set to star alongside Wayne Lai and David Chiang in the upcoming costume drama, "Eunuchs Leave the Palace", had to walk away from the production due to conflicting schedule.

Reportedly, though the actress has cleared her schedule for the series, TVB's production delay from December to February has caused it to interfere with her new schedule.

The delay, it was said, was caused by Ruco Chan and Tony Hung's "Captain of Destiny", which has taken a longer post-production time than expected.

"It was a pity," said Ada, who was looking forward to working with three-time TV King Wayne Lai. "I was prepared [for the series]."

She continued, "My manager and I tried to come up with the best arrangement, but we still couldn't find one, so I had to reject the series."

When asked if she had lost money for having turned down Zheng Xiaolong's "The Legend of Miyue" and two other mainland dramas for TVB, Ada replied, "I didn't lose anything. I know what I want."

Nancy Wu will be replacing the actress as the new female lead.
