Pseudochromis fridmani - The Fridmani or Orchid Dottyback is a beautiful deep purple Dottyback. It's very hardy and easy to care for. Very similar to the more aggressive strawberry dottyback, you can identify the Fridmani Dottyback by the black line running through the eye. While many dottybacks are aggressive, this species is more on the peaceful side of semi-aggressive comparatively.
This species is valuable in reef tanks for its penchant for eating small bristleworms. Over time, they have been known to reduce numbers of pesky bristleworms in home aquariums that are overrun.
