America is undoubtedly home to a wild variety of beers, from double IPAs to coffee barrel-aged imperial stouts, but that doesn’t mean you have to restrict your brews to the 50 states! The rest of the world also makes beer. In fact, numerous countries have been brewing up suds centuries before America was founded, so they might know a thing or two about crafting an excellent beer.

Red Stripe Lager – Jamaica

A refreshing, thirst-quenching, easy to drink, slightly boring beer that that is absolutely perfect for a hot day in the sun. Clean crisp and only 4.7% so you can have a couple and actually get back to your yardwork.

 

Kronenbourg 1664 – France

The most popular beer in France, is named after the year the Hatt family, the brewery’s founders, first started commercial brewing. Made with selected malts and an exclusive yeast, this beer has golden highlights with an aromatic hoppiness and a subtle bitterness.

 

Estrella Damm Lager – Spain

A refreshing pale lager, “”The Beer of Barcelona”” was founded in 1876 and is a two-time Gold Medal winner of the World Beer Championships. Pale golden in color with a slight citrus flavor and a clean finish.

 

BrewDog Hazy Jane IPA – Scotland

Scotland’s Hazy Jane IPA is a fruit bomb with notes of pineapple, mango and stone fruit. It’s brewed with oats and wheat and left unfiltered for a smooth juicy hit and fine carbonation.

 

St. Bernardus Abt 12 – Belgium

Widely regarded as one of the best beers in the world, it’s no surprise that it is the brewery’s flagship beer. Brewed in the classic ‘Quadrupel’ style of Belgium’s best Abbey Ales, it’s a very balanced beer, with a full-bodied taste and a perfect equilibrium between malty, bitter, and sweet.

 

Asahi Super Dry – Japan

Made with rice and malted barley this 5.2% rice lager is well-known for its very light, refreshing, easy-to-drink flavor profile. This brew was created to be crisp and crushable and it definitely does the job.
