Sources: Lakers signing Travis Wear for remainder of season
The Los Angeles Lakers will sign forward Travis Wear to a deal for the remainder of the season, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Wear has performed well for the Lakers during his two 10-day contracts, averaging 4.8 points and 2.2 rebounds while making 12 of 28 3-pointers in 10 games. He posted six points in 14 minutes in the Lakers’ loss in New Orleans on Thursday, which dropped Los Angeles to 31-40 on the season.
Wear, 27, was called up to the Lakers from their G League affiliate South Bay. After going undrafted out of UCLA in 2014, Wear spent a full season with the New York Knicks before stops in Europe, the G League and training camps with the Lakers.
