1908 LZ4 "The Twenty Four Hour" / First Night Flight by Powered Aircraft (Sieger I. A), picture postcard with Zeppelin in flight over water with "Zeppelin's lenkbares (steerable) Luftschiff No. 4" printed in red across top, message side with 10pf Germania tied by "Stuttgart No. 1 3 OKT 08" circular datestamp, with "Der Finder wird gebeten, diese Abwurfkarte dem Postamt zu geben." (The finder is asked to bring this dropped card to the post office.) small purple handstamp at top left and faint pencil "Mit Luftschiff 4" at top center, the card is signed by various individuals, probably associated with the Zeppelin works at Manzell, and was given to one of the workers to drop over Mainz, but due to the near midnight arrival over Mainz, it was dropped instead near Stuttgart the following morining in a waterproof pouch. Given the Oct. 8 postmark, there was a two month delay in either locating the pouch or delivering it to the post office, addressed to Haifa, Palestine with receiving cancel adjacent to stamp; diagonal vertical crease and small repair at bottom right corner, otherwise Fine to Very Fine, an outstanding artifact from the last of the 12 flights made by the LZ4. On 5 August 1908, the zeppelin was destroyed and burned by thunderstorms near Echgterdingen.

1908 LZ 3 Zeppelin Forerunner Postcard (Sieger 1 B), 10pf Germania tied by perfectly struck "Friedrichshafen Bodensee Bahnhof (railroad station) 4 Nov. 08" circular datestamp, addressed to the Alaska Building in Seattle, message reads, "Friedrichshafen, Nov. 4 08. From lofty hight (sic) this card to you. From Yours Truly, G. Benninghausen", picture side black and white image of early Zeppeln in flight over water with ship specifications and a dark green Zeppelin fundraising label affixed and tied by a Seattle receiving machine cancel, Very Fine and very scarce. The LZ 3 made eight trips over the Lake Constance area between October 23 and November 10, 1908.

1911 (August), LZ 10 Schwaben Passenger Flight, Friedrichshafen - Baden-Baden (Sieger 2 I), pioneer Zeppelin postcard with a red type I Schwaben onboard datestamp on the picture side; the card, a "drop" card originally produced for the airship Deutschland, pictures the Rise of the Echterdinger Flight, Aug 4, 1908; flight details were filled in by the sender, "Papa", and the dropped card was found by "Weidecker" of Badisch, Rheinfelden, who mailed it unfranked—there is a blue manuscript "10" (pfennig due)—from there on Aug 8 (bold c.d.s.), Very Fine and most unusual, signed Sieger.

This card was only sold at the city office of the HAPAG, at the airfield and on board the Sachsen.
