About Kanalen
Restaurant Kanalen is as the name suggests located on the channels of Christianshavn in Copenhagen. In the kitchen you will find the talented chef Jeppe Foldager, who has won a silver in the Bocuse D’Or. The restaurant has a long history and the wine list shows it in a good way.
It has an incredible depth of vintages and producers. The wine list at Kanalen has also partly followed the trend of more natural wines and has a good selection of wines from Jura, but it is still small compared to the more conventional wines.

Restaurant Kanalen has two outdoor patios, both sitting at the waterside in the quiet area of Christianshavn. One part is for dining, and the other one’s for wining. Also, Kanalen offers a great ambience for a romantic evening in Copenhagen.

A wine list oriented towards the classics with an almost dogmatic wine list, Kanalen has a nice selection with greath depth, especially in Champagne, Rhône and Burgundy, with more than fair pricing! Jeppe Foldager's creations from the kitchen are sharp and exquisite, and during the summer there is an extraordinary terrace. As one of the few places in the city, Kanalen is also open on Mondays AND for lunch, when you can enjoy the good stuff.
