- Almost no tutorial : I didn't find out that nitro had more stages until the end of the game.
- Sometimes the car flips into the air and does flips like it's made of paper.
- Sonya Mass is almost impossible to catch up with and you have to wait to see if it breaks somewhere.
- In Demolition Derby, opponents respawn when they hit a wall or when they just feel like it
- If your car gets destroyed the race ends
- DirectX 12 is broken in my opinion it kept overheating my GPU and Dx 11 doesn't do it
- The balance of some cars, like when an SUV is destroyed faster than a supercar
- The game itself, some races it doesn't understand, like formula or monster tracks, where they get stuck at the beginning and don't go on
- You can destroy everything of the maps and then you crash into a box that you can't destroy. So you get stuck unexpectedly and you'll probably lose
- Almost no mods to the game and the game doesn't get many updates


Otherwise I enjoyed it and I can recommend it to all who like Flatout

I really wanted to give this game a good review. I really did. But i cant.

initially I had fun. But after awhile, the eurojank quality really started to get to me. Also started to have issues with the game (crashing every hour or so, locking up my PC).

The core gameplay is fun, but is quickly ruined by everything around it. Hitting people is unrewarding. The physics are floaty. The gameplay is repetitive, and its clear many events were not tested well. Even minor hits\scrapes take chunks out of your healthbar.

So much of the game is unoriginal and stolen ideas from elsewhere. Its like someone whos watches too much TV and just copies what they see. Character designs, tracks, events, ideas not inspired by, but directly based on other properties make up 90% of this game. You like Big smoke from GTA and The Joker in your derby games? and yet they try to tie it all together with a story, which has voice ating that would be bad even for a mobile game, broken english with no lip movement, shoehorning random memes into cutscenes.

It would e funny if it was original, but its more just annoying that so much of it wa stolen. It makes me wonder ho much of this game, in terms of assets etc, was taken from elsewhere and sold off as their own.

On top of all of this, support for this game ends very soon.

Has its fun moments, but the things around it ruin it and i cant say i want to support these devs. I dont recommend buying. The quality is just awful.

Trail Out seems to be made by fans of games such as Flatout, Burnout, Need for Speed or Carmageddon. The game contains tons of references to games and movies. I'd even say that the inspirations sometimes go too far and are plain rip-offs. Not to mention unlicensed car models.
The story is terrible, cheesy and makes no sense at times. The dialogue and voice acting are atrocious. The cutscenes tried to take some direction but ended up being embarrassing moments in between the events.
The devs clearly had some fun and put a lot of creativity into the tracks. I can't say they are memorable, but they surely aren't boring and have some distinctive places and objects. A lot of the elements are destructible, which changes the layout from lap to lap and opens new shortcuts.
When it comes to driving there's no realism, it's fully arcade. The car acts differently on various surfaces and the steering can be changed and improved by switching the type of tires. Unfortunately, a lot of cars feel as if you were driving a box with wheels. The physics are junky and the outcome of a crash is unforeseeable. It often happens that the damage caused to the rear axle makes the car jumpy and it's impossible to finish the race.
There's a lot of content and the game is fun overall, especially if you grew up playing Flatout 1 and 2. Instead of making a zombie, Carmageddon-style mobile game mode (with third-person fighting) I wish the devs put a bit more time into the driving model, but I recommend it anyways - especially when it's on sale.
