The active principle found in the plant and a furocoumarin (photosensitizing substance) "bergapten" (one of the most common photosensitizers used in the treatment of leucoderma, such as acromias, vitiligo and other skin diseases) present in roots, peels and green fruits. It is used mainly in the treatment of VITILIGO and other diseases that cause depigmentation.- Brazil
