Resurgent Fulham have some issues ahead of the first game of a crazy festive football period.

Fulham manager Scott Parker will not be on the touchline on Boxing Day to coach his side and is self-isolating. A member of Parker’s household tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus so he is homebound as a precaution.

Former Southampton manager Stuart Gray, who is now on the Fulham coaching staff, and Matt Wells are expected to be in communication with Parker throughout the game.

Elsewhere, Fulham have some injury issues ahead of Southampton’s visit.

Defender Terence Kongolo is injured, while winger Ivan Cavaleiro also remains sidelined.

SOUTHAMPTON INJURY NEWS: Up to four key players set to miss Fulham game

Midfielder Mario Lemina, who is on loan from the Saints, is ineligible to play as part of that loan agreement after recently finding some regular first team football with Fulham. Saints Academy product could deputise in Lemina’s place.

Right-back Kenny Tete could also miss today’s game following the birth of his child.

However, this is some good news for Parker and his team.

Joachim Anderson, who was given a red card against Newcastle United in their 1-1 draw last week, is available after having that rightly overturned.
