If the name Lamborghini Autentica doesn’t ring a bell, you can be forgiven.

Earlier this year, the Italian automaker revealed the Invencible coupé and Autentica roadster – two one-off cars to celebrate the naturally aspirated V12.

The Italian marque said that the Invencible and Autentica both pay tribute to masterpieces of Lamborghini design, including the Aventador, Sesto Elemento, Reventon and Veneno.

For starters, both new cars share the same carbon fiber monocoque as the Aventador

Meanwhile, the imposing hood reprises that of the Essenza SCV12, along with the pronounced front splitter with vertical struts.

On the hood, the air intakes are reminiscent of those on the ultra-rare Sesto Elemento.

Clean minimalism is what defines the interior of both cars.

The dashboard is enhanced by a hexagonal 3D printed air vents and no instrumentation on the console.

The Italian supercar maker said the design was paired back to focus attention on weight and pure driving enjoyment.

The cockpit itself is framed in carbon fiber, with a digital readout featuring dedicated graphics for each car.

On the classic scissor doors, two prominent hexagonal tricolors serve as a tribute to the Italian flag.

This is echoed on the door linings and the steering wheel.

The Invencible and Autentica are the very last cars produced by Lamborghini that will be equipped with a 12-cylinder 6.5-liter engine.

That lump, mounted longitudinally in the rear, produces a staggering 769 horsepower.

The final salute to the outgoing Lamborghini V12 powertrain is mated to a seven-speed ISR gearbox with four-wheel drive.

Lamborghini has already dipped its toe in hybrid waters, with the new Revuelto supercar the most powerful plug-in hybrid available to buy.

We’ve also seen the brand’s first all-electric car, the Lamborghini Lanzador.

Now, for the all-important bit – the price tag.

Both the Invencible and Autentica are one-offs, and as such Lamborghini hasn’t revealed a price for either one of them.

However, given that the 350-unit Aventador Ultimae started from $498,000, these two bespoke Lamborghinis probably have a price tag well over $1 million.
