The second annual Santa Ynez Valley Horse Farm Tour will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.

This year, guests will have an opportunity to visit private farms that are raising some of the rarest breeds of horses in the world. Some of these beauties are from Europe, while the prancing white stallions are from a remote Latin country. This is the only place in America where these horses can be seen.

The event is a fundraiser for both the Santa Ynez Valley Equestrian Center and the Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum and Carriage House.

At an Arabian farm, guests will enjoy riding demonstrations of these versatile horses. Champion Arabians of unsurpassed beauty will perform various aspects of western riding.

At another location guests will enjoy a nostalgic trip through the past with horses of different breeds drawing various models of antique carriages. All locations will have interesting narrations accompanying the dramatic action.

At the end of the afternoon, guests are invited to the Santa Ynez Valley Museum and Carriage House for a complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres reception. They can stroll among the historic carriages and stage coaches and visit with fellow tour guests.

Tickets are $50 and are available now. Send checks to the Santa Ynez Historical Museum, P.O. Box 181, Santa Ynez, Ca. 93460, or pay on line at www.santaynezmuseum.org. Out of town guests are welcome. Attendance is limited to 200 guests.
