Simon Cowell recently left his home in London and moved to the English countryside. In a new interview, the America’s Got Talent judge talked about how much his son Eric has been enjoying the new locale.

Simon Cowell’s Son Eric Loves the Countryside

According to reports, Cowell has left his former home in London’s Holland Park and moved to Oxfordshire, a county in the English countryside. While speaking to Access Hollywood after Tuesday’s new AGT live show, Cowell talked about how his 9-year-old son Eric is adjusting to the change.

“He’s like me, he likes being outside,” Cowell said. “So he’s kind of doing all the things I did as a kid, where he’s playing football outside, he’s climbing trees, he’s running. And that’s what we have. We’re in the countryside, so he gets to do tons of things outside. So I’m happy.”

When asked if his new locale has given him any inspiration for his upcoming wedding to partner Lauren Silverman, Cowell said it was a “very interesting” question, adding, “Possibly. It might be subconscious. I don’t know.”

When Is Cowell Getting Married?

Cowell got engaged to his longtime partner Lauren Silverman over the Christmas holiday in 2021. However, they have yet to tie the knot. The music mogul has spoken about the process of planning the wedding.

“It depends on how big or small you make it,” Cowell told People earlier this year. “Don’t forget, we’ve known each other a long time, so trust me, this is not gonna be a thousand people turning up or whatever. It’s easy.”

He previously shared that he’s “planning it all,” rather than using “one of these ghastly wedding planners.” Cowell has also said he wants the nuptials to be “spontaneous.” The couple hasn’t confirmed exactly when they’re walking down the aisle, but they don’t seem to be in a rush.
