Printed royal edict from the Marques de Croix concerning deserters from the Spanish Army. The edict says that anyone harboring deserters will be prosecuted, however, those who turn in these deserters will be remunerated.

The date June 4, 1769 is the date when the edict was received in Camargo.

Additional information: "Royal edict concerning military deserters. All persons aiding in any way whatsoever, a deserter will be prosecuted. Anyone apprehending or notifying the authorities of a deserters whereabouts will be remunerated."
