God’s Word tells us that we are equal in Christ’s eyes – we are all part of His body. However, God loves order and has from the beginning. Eve was created to be Adam’s helpmeet. The words “help meet” are only used twice in the Scriptures. Both times it is used in reference for Adam! I love the fact that God used these two words just for us 🙂

~Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

 

~Genesis 2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

We were created just for our husbands! It doesn’t matter if you married out of God’s will or weren’t saved when you got married. You are your husband’s help meet. 🙂 As with any job, learn all you can about being a help meet. Use God’s Word instead of getting people’s opinions or reading books. People’s opinions are many and not always in line with God’s Word. Books may have good intentions but none speak 100% truth like the Bible 🙂 The Bible is where you’ll find your answers to all of life’s questions.

First and foremost is to study about your position in your family. Christ is the head of the Church – your husband is head of your home.  When it comes to matters of the home, your husband is its leader. Just as the vice president of a company follows the president’s lead, so should a wife. Our goal should be to place Christ at the center of our lives.

Without Christ on the throne of our hearts, we cannot begin to thoroughly understand our role as a Godly help meet to our husbands. Amen? So you must start with building your relationship with God and getting that in order.

Women are confused today because they have not spent enough time in God’s Word. God is not the author of confusion.

~1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

You cannot learn to follow leadership if you are not following Christ and His Word.  Disobedience to the Lord will not produce “good” fruit, amen? Get your spiritual life in order so you can be the best help meet possible to your husband. Even though we are equal in God’s eyes, we must remember that there is order in all things God created. 🙂
