    Pseudosasa Japonica. Arrow Bamboo.

Pseudosasa Japoniaca or Arrow Bamboo is very tough and robust but also graceful and attractive. Hardy down to -20 degrees, it’s tall, strong, olive green canes and lush dark green lance-shaped foliage are great for providing both a visual and a sound barrier in the shape of a hedge. These troughs of Bamboo are great for making an instant screen. Also available in 35L pots.

An ornamental evergreen bamboo it can grow up to 6m and grows well in containers always looking lush and exotic.

Classed as a clump forming to spreading bamboo it can be restricted by using a non-perishable root barrier, which are readily available or keeping in a container, but it usually behaves itself in the UK’s cooler climate. Has gained the RHS award of Garden Merit.
