Michael Fletcher is in his first year as an defensive analyst for Sun Devil Football. 
 
Prior to joining the ASU staff, Fletcher was a lead evaluator and member of the coaching staff for Student Sports, a premier event and grassroots marketing organization dedicated to student-athletes. In his role with Student Sports, Fletcher served as a lead evaluator for The Opening football event. His duties in that position included instructing coaches on position specific drills, workouts, and evaluation of elite high school football athletes. Fletcher was also a member of The Opening/Elite 11 Staff, serving as a lead staffer for a National Multi-city tour with local high school coaches and trainers for combines, regionals and finals events.
 
In addition to his duties with Student Sports. Fletcher served as assistant head coach and defensive and special teams coordinator for 10 seasons (2010-19) at Paramount High School in Paramount, Calif. Before joining the staff at Paramount, Fletcher was a speed and conditioning coach at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, Calif.
 
Fletcher played nine years in the CFL (BC Lions/Toronto Argonauts) where he won two Grey Cup Championships and was voted to the All-Time Toronto Argonaut team as an OLB in 2007. Fletcher, who played in more than 150 games during his pro career, was a team leader in tackles on two occasions and led the CFL in interceptions in 2001.
 
Fletcher earned his undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Oregon in 1999. While at Oregon, Fletcher was a two-time All-Pac-10 performer as a defensive back and returner and was team caption in 1998-99.
