Hello 2024

Hi Qtees :) It’s been a while since our last post. How are you Qtees all doing? Has the New Year been treating you kindly? Have you set new goals for this year? What do you look forward to the most this year? I just love New Year because it feels like starting a fresh new blank canvas. It’s the time of the year that motivates me to reach my goals and be productive! (Although…I wish this enthusiasm lasts until the end of this year haha) Speaking of productivity, we’re once again challenging ourselves to become a morning person this year! If you haven’t checked out yet, we just uploaded our 5 am Morning Routine video, so please check it out if you haven’t yet :) Anyway, there are many things to catch up on, so shall we start from the December of last year?

This is how we spent our time on December 26th, right after Christmas. We had a second photo shoot with JAVIN DE SEOUL. Because this was our second photoshoot with them, thankfully we weren’t as nervous or anxious compared to our first photoshoot. But still, it’s always quite challenging to be in front of the camera as an introverted person. Nevertheless, it’s part of our work; thus, we’re pushing ourselves against our comfort zone. Also, it’s an amazing opportunity that is given to us, all thanks to the love & support from our Qtees, so we want to do our BEST!!

We love working with JAVIN DE SEOUL because they are always pushing the boundaries and does not shy away from trying new things! Also, if you Qtees haven’t tried it yet, please try their newly launched Wink Cushion Glow 💦 I’m not recommending simply because we’re modeling their products but it’s genuinely so good! The Wink Cushion Glow is made for the dry winter season or for those who have dry skin. If you have been searching for a cushion that gives you moist, supple and dewy finish, this is it 💧Trust me, you wont regret it :)

Do you know what I look forward to the most on the set? FOOOOOD!! We had this delicious veggie kimbap, which we devoured it like no tomorrow. mmmmmm

We spent New Year’s Eve with our parents. It felt like ages since the last time we saw them and we had the most relaxing quality time together. We ate and slept like bears ready for hibernation lol 🐻 When every time we head down to our parents’ place, they start feeding us with so much food!! The first meal we had with them was an eel. It’s a type of fish and Koreans eat them when they want to recharge their energy because it’s believed to give you power🔋haha

By the way, if you are a fan of mint chocolate flavor, you’re seriously missing out if you haven’t tried this mint chocolate chip Banana Kick 🍌 PLEASE TRY IT!!!

As you Qtees know, we’re currently in search of a house to live in with our parents. But at one point, it felt like a never-ending search for the dream house. So we started searching for a temporary place where Qjin and I can move in for a while just until we find our dream house. The main goal was to find a place that is larger than our current place. We needed SPACE! So we found this loft apartment, which looked quite large on the photos! But guess what… when we visited to check out the place, it was way too small than what we’ve imagined. Photos can be quite deceiving sometimes haha We were so disappointed with the place and came out within a minute.

Baking continues in Q-Kitchen 🥐 This year I want to share more recipes with our Qtees! Many of our Qtees asks us where we find the recipes, and most of the time we find it through YouTube! To me baking is kind of like a therapy. It’s a time I can empty my head and just really enjoy the moment of baking & cooking :) Whenever I bake or cook something, it gives me butterfly in my stomach because I instantly think of serving this delicious food to our Qtees at our future cafe ☕️ hehe Hopefully that day will come soon ☺️

This winter, surprisingly we’re having many snow in Korea. If you happen to be traveling to Korea soon, make sure to pack many layers and warm coat. It’s slightly warm during the day but still its quite cold during the evening.

Hope you Qtees enjoying today’s blog post :) It was also fun for me to look back at what we did last month. I can’t believe we’re already heading toward February! Time flies so fast, so lets do our best to cherish all the tiny moments 💕 Love you Qtees and I’ll see you again here soon 🥰

Life Lately

Hi Qtees. Hope you Qtees are having the best summer! This year has been one of THE hottest weather we’ve ever met. Also, the monsoon season was abnormally long this year ☔️ But thankfully, Autumn has officially arrived in Korea and for the first time this week we did not have to rely on AC throughout the day. Currently, I’m writing this blog while enjoying a cool breeze through the window on a weekend. What a perfect way to spend the weekend afternoon :)

As you Qtees know, about 2 months ago, we re-decorated our room. And it’s sad to say that probably that was the last room decoration we’ll ever get to do at our current place. And it’s even more sad to say that now our place truly feels complete! But we’re ready for a change! We’re ready to create new memories with our Qtees at a new place ☺️ We can’t wait to start the new journey with our Qtees that is waiting for us ✨ We’re almost done searching for a new house and House Hunting Part 2 will be out in October. Please stay tuned Qtees 🤍

There are a handful of Korean Jewelry brands that we enjoy wearing daily and one of them has to be Numbering. Recently they opened another store in Hannam-dong and of course, we had to stop by and check the store out 💨 What we love most about Numbering is not only the quality but also the simplicity of the design. It’s simple YET it’s unique: if you think about it, achieving a design that is unique but still ‘simple’ is quite challenging haha But they managed to do it! Hence, the jewelry style is never affected by a trend and it rarely becomes out of style. Perhaps, that’s the main reason why this brand is loved by so many people, including us.

One of our dearest friends, whom we have known for so many years since we moved to Korea, has recently launched her own rental studio business! The rental studio business is quite BIG in Korea. It’s a studio that you can rent for an hourly rate for the purpose of commercial filming or photoshoots. It’s popular among influencers, digital creators, or YouTubers who need a certain themed space for creating content. A.K.A US 😆 Based on the countless numbers of content that we’ve created in the past, one thing that we’ve learned is that the ‘space’ where you create the content affects your creativity in a large way. And we’re so grateful for the vast selections of rental studios we have in Seoul, Korea :) If you Qtees also want to try renting a studio, simply search 렌탈스튜디오 on Instagram and DM them to make a reservation!

Isn’t she (the owner of the studio) so adorable? And guess what, she’s also an identical twin! We met her when we worked with Nylon Magazine Korea several years ago. She was one of the editors and we became close when we went to London together to create content for Nylon magazine 🇬🇧 Ahhh the good old days haha She’s one of the most nicest and genuine people we know and we’re so grateful to call her as our friend 🥹

The perfect summer bag goes to this misu a barbe knit bag 🧶 How cute is this? Love the knitted flower detail too :)

Just a random pink bow photo since we LOVE ribbons 🎀 Ever since Balletcore became a fashion trend, we love how it’s easier to spot bows in fashion items. A quick fashion trend alert: Balletcore style will continue this Fall/Winter 2023. YAY 🎉

We finally had the time to go down to our parent’s place last month and this beautiful Japanese dish was the first meal we had with them in the longest time. One of the main reasons we are moving to a new house is also because we want to spend more time with our parents. We live in approximately 1hr 30 minutes drive apart distance and it’s quite challenging to make extra time to meet them. But now, if we live together, we can see each other every day! This decision to live together with our parents was also possible mainly due to the fact that Papa QQ is finally retiring next year! (He can now move to Seoul, which is a bit far from his school) After teaching students as a professor for 20+ years, Papa QQ is ready to unleash a new chapter in his life 🤍

By the way, right next to the restaurant where we had our meal was a food market that sells imported food products and we found this sour plum from Japan that I’m always curious as to how it actually tastes like. Now I regret not buying it when I had the chance…..😣

After the meal, we had some time to kill before the movie starts. We watched Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning. As a great fan of Mission Impossible (We watched literally EVERY Mission Impossible that was released) I could not understand some of our friends who said the movie was not that good….!!! We were like “EXCUSE ME?!!! Are you sure you watched THE Mission Impossible?!” But rest assured, the movie was a chef kiss! Whew~

My current fave lip tint from Naming in color ABIDE 💋 We created a reals showcasing this lip color, so please check it out below :)

So as you Qtees know, we have a secret (but not so secret) PO Box in Korea >_< Kiara and Yelena from France left these gifts for us at Lumio Beauty House for us to pick up 🥹 And look at the cups! It has our name engraved on it 💕 NO WAY!!! We screamed with joy the moment we unboxed it 🥲 Thank you so much Qtees!

Next week is Korea Thanksgiving week and we have a very long holiday waiting for us 🍂🇰🇷 Hope you Qtees all stay safe & happy and have another amazing week ahead! Please know that there are two twins in Korea who love you and care about you 🤍 See you again soon Qtees! Love you so much ☺️

July was… hectic

Hi Qtees :) How are you all doing? Can’t believe we’re already heading towards August! Believe it or not, we weren’t able to visit Mama & Papa QQ’s city for nearly 2 months…:( But as we’re wrapping up July, our schedule looks a bit less tight so we’re finally heading down to our parent’s place next week 🤍 Can’t wait to spend some quality time with them :)

One thing I truly enjoy about having this blog is that not only it’s another means for us to communicate with our Qtees but I also get to re-live the good memories while choosing and uploading the photos from my phone and writing about what’s happening in the photos. Ahhhh the good old days ☺️

This is me laying in bed at Dao by Dorsett Hotel in Singapore, savoring Puff Cheetos that our Singaporean Qtees gave us as a gift during the meet & greet. Seriously, our Qtees are the best 🥲 Sadly, it’s extremely difficult to find Puff Cheetos in Korea. I mean, we do have something kind of similar to Cheetos, but it’s way too sweet…!!! What we want is that savory and artificial-like cheese taste (if you know what I mean) haha 🧀 Right now we have 3 bags left and… I think we seriously need to go back to Singapore to get some more 😭

Oh! And we’ve successfully given all of our DIY bunny key chains to our friends in Singapore 🐰 Everyone LOVED IT!! And it made us so happy to see them being so excited and happy about it 🥹 All of our friends in Singapore are friends that we met through work. We first met via work and gradually became best friends 🤍 They always treat us with delicious food when we visit Singapore and we also treat them when they visit Korea. Sometimes it’s amazing and also feel so thankful to be able to meet so many kind and genuine people through our job. We’re thankful to be blessed with so many wonderful people in our lives 🫶🏻

Our latest obsession is a Korean designer brand called KIMHEKIM. We were invited to check out their new store in Cheongdam as well as their latest Spring Summer Resort collection. I’m assuming the focal point of the collection was a stripe, but this isn’t a printed stripe but an individual black and white stripe that has been sewn together to create one huge fabric for each garment!! Can you believe the amount of time that it must have taken to create each piece? Simply amazing…. I don’t think I’ll have the patience to do that… We’re especially in love with their large bow ballerina flats. These are absolutely our cup of tea 🎀

At the very top floor of the store, we were able to find a small private room that they’ve recreated to mimic a studio where KIMHEKIM designer first started as a designer. It was like picking through his old diaries, and being able to witness the creative process, which was absolutely fascinating! It was quite nostalgic too as it reminded us of our college life back in Los Angeles where we studied fashion design.

As our hair is getting longer, we’re experimenting more with how we can stylize our hair differently. These days, we have been curling our hair without heat by braiding our hair overnight 🌜And I just love the exaggerated curls we get! What do you think Qtees?

Just another day creating reels in a rental studio :) We have this love and hate relationship with IG reels. It’s one of the most stressful works for us as there are so many layers of preparation that need to be done to have the final reels ready to go live. The process is something like this:

  1. Brainstorm creative direction

  2. Get the creative direction confirmed by the brand

  3. Find and book a studio (at the same time have to check if the weather is sunny as we always shoot under natural sunlight. And this has been a major stressful factor as Korea is currently in monsoon season)

  4. Purchase necessary supplies for the shoot

  5. Think about the outfit, makeup, and hairstyle for the shoot

  6. Drive to the Studio (Usually takes about an hour to an hour and a half drive to the studio as they are mostly located north across the Han River)

  7. Shoot the reels (Normally takes 4~5hrs)

  8. Drive back home

  9. Edit the Reels

  10. Send the reels for confirmation

  11. If the brand wants revision, revision needs to be made ASAP

  12. Final confirmation

However, at the same time, I love how it pushes us to be more creative! Unlike photos, reels really challenge us to think outside of the box as we’re introducing a product to our Qtees not verbally but through visuals! And the result is so rewarding afterward, especially when our Qtees appreciate them so much 🥹 So, thank you Qtees for always cheering us up and appreciating the things we do on this internet 🥰

If you Qtees have watched our latest video, I made a loaf of bread from scratch, and oh boy… that was A LOT of work!! haha But one thing I love about cooking is that when I cook, I get to pause my thoughts for a while and just focus on cooking. I think it’s important that we all have a small hobby where we can take our minds off for a sec 🧠 What’s your hobby Qtees?

In our latest video, we took you Qtees to this cafe that is famous for its ‘Sofa Cake’ 🛋 It’s crazy how creative cafes are these days with their cakes and pastries!

By they way, love my ribbon tatoo that I got it from our Qtees in Singapore 🇸🇬 🥹

I forgot the name of this cafe, but it was a cafe owned by an owner from Germany. And this cheesecake was said to be made in German style. It was so delicious 🤤 Hopefully we can visit Germany one day and meet our German Qtees 🇩🇪 That’d be a dream come true 🤍

This is me being so happy while holding a gift that our Singaporean Qtees left at Lumio Beauty House for us to pick it up 🥹 And guess what! She not only came to our recent meet and greet in Singapore but we also met her at the Incheon airport on the day we were heading to Japan!! She was on her way back to Singapore :) What a coincidence! Thank you so much for the gifts Qtees 🥺

Well, that’s it for today Qtees :) I hope you enjoyed this blog and I’ll be back again with another post soon. Until then take care Qtees 🥰

xoxo,

QQ

Excited for What’s to Come

Hi Qtees :) Oh, how I’ve missed writing a blog post 🥲 We’re so sorry for missing out on here. As we’re entering Spring, we’ve been non-stop working on multiple projects as brands are getting ready for the new season 🌼 How about you Qtees? How have you been? We hope life has been treating you kindly and gently ☺️

Before I start with the diary, I want to share a few exciting news with you Qtees!

  • There will be another special Sunday video on April 2nd ✨ The video entails a subject that we’ve never tried before on our channel. Hope you Qtees enjoy it :)

  • At the end of April, we’re heading to Paris! And YES! We’re definitely thinking of holding another Meet & Greet 🤍 Just thinking about meeting our Parisian Qtees gives butterflies in my stomach 🦋 If you Qtees have any recommendations on location for holding the Meet & Greet, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could share them with us.

  • Guess what?! We’re heading to Paris again in May! YAY! This time we want to hold a more personal & intimate(?) Meet & Greet with, perhaps, 20~30 Qtees. We’re thinking of having a little picnic with Qtees and just chilling together with delicious food :) What do you think? (Just a quick heads up! We’re super awkward in real life, so please be prepared lol)

Around early March, we went to a beautiful city in Korea called Gyeongju. If you Qtees happen to visit Busan during your trip to Korea, make sure to stop by at Gyeongju as well :) We visited the city, not for a vacation/break but to film reels content for Beauty of Joseon. We’ve known and used Beauty of Joseon’s products for so many years that it’d be weird to not say that we’re very familiar with all of their products. In fact, we’ve known them since they were at the beginning stage as a brand and it’s amazing to witness how beautifully the brand has evolved and grown! When they asked us to create reals for one of their newly launched product, we didn’t take this project lightly. We wanted to really bring the story and the value of the product to whoever watches the reel! We researched tirelessly to find the perfect location for the shooting, but there was a limit to what Seoul can offer to create the atmosphere that we wanted to achieve. Luckily, we found this beautiful Hanok hotel located in Gyeongju and booked it immediately 🤍 It was an excruciating 8 hours round trip drive, but it was so worth it!

Not only the Hanok atmosphere but also this private outdoor hot tub were the main reasons why we came all the way to Gyeongju. After 5 hours of filming, we were able to reward ourselves with a nice hot bath at night while watching the stars in the sky ✨ Is this called heaven? 🥹

Did you know that Papa QQ used to play tennis very well? I remember Papa QQ always playing tennis with his friends, but due to his bad knees, he hasn’t been able to play it ever since 😢 This year, we wanted to challenge ourselves to learn something new (in terms of physical activities) other than walking. And we always wanted to learn how to play tennis 🎾 It has always been in the back of our minds, but never had the courage to put them into action. But not anymore! Surprisingly, we had so much fun!!

But… I firmly believe we need a proper lesson from professionals haha I’m currently researching courses for tennis lessons and will keep you posted :)

This is very random but these days, I’m having so much fun wearing colored socks and textured tights! I’m especially in love with red stocks ❤️ The weather is starting to get warmer these days; thus, I better enjoy wearing tights and socks when I can :)

Recently we visited Ader Error store in Hongdae to check out their latest collection. As a person who LOVES fashion and clothing, trying on a brand’s latest collection is one of the most exciting parts of our job that we get to do! And even during this type of moment we think of and thank our Qtees because, without your support and love, we won’t be able to do what we do today 🫶🏻 Seriously…thank you so much Qtees from the bottom of our hearts 🤍

Thanks for reading my random diary Qtees 🐰Hope you Qtees have a wonderful start to the new week and we’ll see you again the following Sunday ☺️ LOVE YOU 🌹

The Feeling of Guilt

Hi Qtees, hope you all are doing well and having a great start to the New Year! It’s been a very slow January for us, both in terms of work and life. With extra time on our hands, we were able to experiment with new ways of filming and editing. We also have time to walk for at least 1 hr every day, which has been a huge PLUS to both our mental and physical health. If you Qtees haven’t tried it yet, we highly recommend you to walk for at least 15~30 minutes a day. It’s such a great way to empty your mind and solely focus on your inner self.

By the way, I’m sharing one of the songs that I’ve been enjoying listening to while walking. The moment I listened to this song, I wanted to share it with you Qtees :)

Like the title of this blog post, I’ve been struggling with the feeling of guilt. The guilt of having too much time one my hand. It’s been so long since the last time I had such substantial amount of extra time, that I feel like I’m not using my time to its full potential..? Although I finished my daily tasks for the day, I have this urge of having to fill in the gap of extra time with something else. ( I hope this make sense Qtees 😭) And when I fail to do so, I feel like a major failure…!

These days, I’m often thinking to my self: Am I giving my 100%? Am I doing enough? Could I’ve done better? Could I’ve done differently?

But you know what?! I’m trying to see this constant self-doubt in a positive way. Self-doubt motivates me to keep growing and learning! I’m also more self-aware and it pushes me to ask myself more questions and tap into different avenues.

Okay, enough with the ramble :) If you noticed, these days we fell in love with playing around with ribbon hair accessories. With our hair getting longer, we’ve been having way too much fun discovering different ways of stylizing our hair.

Oh! Also, happy Seollal Qtees 🧧 We’re currently at our parent’s place and we made tteokguk and dumplings this morning with mama & papa QQ. We also set the table with some of our grandpa QQ’s favorite dishes to commemorate his passing.

Grandma QQ couldn’t join us though :( Due to her health issues and old age, she can no longer take a long ride. (It takes roughly 2 hours by car) So, we gave her a phone call instead and we’re planning to stop by at her place again this week ♡ We miss you granny~

This was back in December 2022 🎄We went to The Hyundai department store for a business meeting. We didn’t want to attend the meeting empty handed; thus, we stopped by at this cute dessert store that was selling bunny shaped cookies 🐰 How cute are these cookies? 😍 Seriously, these were too cute to eat 🥲 Also, this was the same day I lost my favorite green muffler scarf from VOCAVACA…🧣Oh well,,, 💩 happens :)

I recently came to realize that in Seoul, there are so many places in the street with random mirrors haha And I don’t complain at all! It’s great for taking selfies together teheeee

Qjin doing what she does best: filming. Whenever we see a beautiful sceneries, it became so natural for us to immediately take out our phone or camera to capture it to share it with our Qtees. In everyday of our life, we’re always thinking of you Qtees 🙈💕

Here we are at the Max Mara event to preview their latest collection. Hands down, Max Mara has some of the best coats both in terms of silhouette and quality. As a person who loves long, oversized coats, this place was a heaven for us.

Yup! That’s me 😁 Being a major drama queen ~

One of our dearest friends from Philippines visited Korea and gave us this awesome tote bag as a gift! YUP! Those are BOOBS 😂 I love it so much!!

I want to end today’s blog with some beautiful shot we took at the beach and Han river. For some reason, open water looks more magical and ethereal during winter 🌊 We hope you Qtees have wonderful rest of the January and we’ll see you Qtees again soon at our YouTube video on February 5th. Until then, take care Qtees 💖

December has arrived

Hi Qtees :) We hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready to kick off the new week with high spirits! Seoul is outrageously cold these days (reaching -8 at night). But as a person who loves winter, I’m thoroughly enjoying every bit of it ❄️

Surprisingly, we had a very slow and chill weekend. I had a long hot bath first thing in the morning, made a hot cup of coffee for myself and enjoyed Netflix while doing my morning skincare routine, and listened to LP music while watering the plants and deciding what to wear for the day. It’s a moment like this (no matter how mundane or dull) that makes life so much more appreciative. I’ve realized how much I missed this type of morning! What is your ideal type of morning Qtees?

By the way, speaking of Netflix, if you love horror and mystery genre, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go and watch 1899. I came across this series via a Facebook article that stated that people were demanding (literally demanding) for season 2 because it’s THAT GOOD! With curiosity, we gave it a chance, and now we’re absolutely hooked! I don’t want to spoil anything here, but all I can say is that this is, no doubt, has to be one of the best series we’ve watched on Netflix this year.

Last week we went to the Dior Beauty event. When every time we go to these types of events, we’re amazed by how beautifully the event is presented. I can’t imagine the amount of time and effort that had to be devoted to creating such an amazing space. It also shows how one’s experience with a brand is as much as important as the performance of the product. I still remember one of our professors’ sayings during our college years: “You’re not selling products; you’re selling experience!”

As a candle lover, naturally, I immediately walked towards the candle aisle first haha. Everything smelled stunning! And can you believe the size of that candle? I think you can burn that candle for a year, and it’ll still last!

On Sunday, we went for another Reels shooting. It’s always exciting to create content, but we were exceptionally excited to shoot this Reels as it was ‘fashion’ content! Hopefully, we can have more opportunities to shoot fashion-related content starting next year :) The final content will be live on our Instagram @Q2HAN this week! Stay tuned 🤍

That’s Qjin celebrating the end of long hours of filming. It was so painful to film at this studio because the studio was extremely cold! Even though we turned on two heaters (each at 30 C), because the entire studio is built in concrete, it doesn’t seem to trap the warm air. Nevertheless, we loved the space! It was simple and chic: exactly what we were looking for.

Flaunting the new kick that I recently got from Farfetch 👟 We have a Farfetch discount code (Q2HANDEC) that is valid until the end of this month, so please feel free to use the code Qtees :)

*Just a quick disclaimer, we do not get anything from the discount! It’s purely for you, Qtees :)

As we were leaving the studio after the shoot, we saw this cute cafe right next to the studio. I think the cafe is run by those two cute couples who were very friendly. We loved the way how the cafe was decorated! It was full of Christmas spirit! Loved the warm wood tone and the way the light enters the space and hits the floor.

We got chocolate drink in ice 🧊 Yup! Ice, not hot haha After a long day, this was a perfect sweet treat 🍫

I just had to take a photo of this because it was so cute <3 Each table has a pencil and a pencil sharpener with a little memo paper for the customers to doodle while drinking their drinks. I love finding this type of detail in a cafe. You can really see how much thought the owners have put into it when filling up this space. We had such a nice relaxing afternoon in this cafe :)

Hope you Qtees enjoyed this short diary of mine. Christmas is just around the corner, and hope you Qtees are preparing well for the big holiday :) We’ll see you again here next week! Love you Qtees 🌹

A Month of Realization

Hi Qtees! Sorry for not being able to upload for the last 2 weeks :( As usual, we were so caught up in meeting deadlines. We have about 5 more major projects to take care of until the end of this year. After that, we’re seriously planning to give ourselves a MAJOR break.

Another day, another reels content shooting. Yup, that’s me spraying water on top of the acrylic board to create that dewy atmosphere. Can you Qtees guess for which brand we’re shooting the reels? Let us know in the comment :) This reel will be live on our Instagram @Q2HAN on December the 1st!

When creating a reel, every content creator can relate to how stressful it is to come up with an idea, especially when the brand has high expectations of you. But what stresses us out more is finding the right location for the shoot. We’re constantly checking the weather, hoping the sun won’t betray us haha We’re also constantly checking for the availability of a studio that we had in mind. If it’s booked, that’s when the stress level hits the roof. From brainstorming ideas, booking a studio, preparing materials, and shooting the content to editing the footage, it’s definitely not easy work. But at the same time it’s SO FUN! We always talk about how if being a YouTuber/Influencer wasn’t our job, we’d have worked as producers for commercials, haha

There are so many Korean fashion brands that we love, but VOCAVACA has to be one of our top 5 favorite brands. We also discovered this brand not long ago, but one of the main reasons we fell in love with VOCAVACA is because of the fit! Everything that we wear fits us like a glove as if it was meant to be worn by us! Not to mention, the quality of the materials is top-notch. And is it only me, or do you Qtees also see hints of Paris in their designs? I don’t know why but VOCAVACA always reminds me of Paris :)

We stopped by at this random cafe after an event, and surprisingly we loved the vibe inside the cafe. We went in during opening hour, so we had the entire cafe for ourselves. As always, Qjin was busy on her phone while I enjoyed my cup of orange juice. Can you believe that this cafe refills the orange juice for free? But one cup was enough for me :)

Just another day, another shooting reels with my sis :) The brand specifically wanted a Christmas vibe, so I had to bake Christmas cookies the night before the shoot. Believe it or not, it’s really challenging to find Christmas cookies in Korea! This is when I miss Ralphs and Target back in LA 😭 Thank goodness I know how to bake…lol

Here are a few photos of foods that I’ve made for my sis :) As much as I love cooking, I love seeing Qjin’s reaction when she sees my food haha I love how she appreciates the food that I make for her, and I think that’s what drives me to cook and experiment with different recipes. If you Qtees know any good recipes, please share them with me! I’m always opened to try new things :)

This November was one of the toughest months for us, both physically and mentally. It was one of those months when we realized we couldn’t keep going on like this. We were so caught up in work that the last time we went to see our parents were…June..or July? I can’t even remember… :( I miss the quality time spent with Mama and Papa QQ. I also miss having a weekend and spending time with my sis watching Netflix and BL dramas haha Qjin and I had a long chat the other day. We discussed about our future, the next step, our priorities, and our goals for 2023. There will be a big change & new direction starting next year. We’ll share everything on our YouTube video that is going live on December 18th. Hope you Qtees can join us on that day :)

Well, thank you so much for reading our boring blog Qtees. We’ll see you Qtees again very soon :) Have a beautiful day or have a beautiful night Qtees <3

Learning to say no

Hi Qtees :) Welcome to another weekly post. Our hands were itching to write another blog, haha. Last week was one of the most challenging weeks for us both mentally and physically. We were working on multiple projects under extreme pressure to meet the deadlines and basically pulling all-nighters every single night. We always tell ourselves: “Next month, we’re going to take it easy.” But when the work comes in, it’s so difficult to say ‘no.’ Being self-employed is great! But it also comes with a price. The balance between work and life is extremely blurred. There’s also this constant thought in the back of our mind: “What if this is the opportunity that we couldn’t miss?” Next year’s resolution is definitely to create a healthy balance between life and work.

Because we mostly spent the week creating content and editing, here is another behind the scenes for you Qtees :) But before, we would love to share a few comments that we received from our previous post:

Thank you for enjoying our content Trushna :) Knowing that our Qtees enjoy our content, just makes everything worth it at the end of the day. Thank you for giving us the purpose in life and the motivation to do what we do Qtees. You Qtees have no idea how much you all mean to us.

You should definitely start writing again WheresMyEpiphany?? ! (By the way, love your ID) Digital content has definitely taken over the internet, but I also miss reading blogs. During our high school and college years, a few of our favorite bloggers were Susie Bubble and Style Rookie by Tavi Gevinson. How about you Qtees?

On this beautiful day, we booked a studio to film two different content. One of them was for one of our current favorite sunscreens from Beauty of Joseon called Relief Sun. It contains 30% rice extract, and we love it when skincare brands create products with ingredients that we are familiar with and edible. It’s been over a month since we’ve been testing and using Relief Sun on our own skin, and we are confident enough to recommend it to our Qtees. The content we’ve created will be live sometime this week on our IG, so stay tuned :)

Now let’s talk about this beautiful studio. We were searching for a studio with good sunlight, a kitchen, a bathroom with a sink, and a bed. After surfing the internet for an hour, we finally landed at this studio. We love every detail in this studio, and most importantly, the way how the sun hits the studio was breathtaking.

These are a few props we brought from our home. And YES, those are slices of lemons that we’ve brought from our home, haha. When we create content for advertisements, especially when it comes to Reels, we always try our best to create a storyline. Yes, the product is a focal point, but there has to be a story to tell along with the product! We’d prepare the storyline on a sheet of paper, and until this day, it’s surreal to see how our thoughts come together into actual content.

That is me, crouching on the corner of the room like a Gollum, doing my makeup for the second content… lol

Just at the right time, the rings we ordered from YesStyle arrived! Many of our Qtees DM us about the accessories we wear. Thus, we’ll link it down below, in case interested :)

If you Qtees have been following us for quite a while, you Qtees know that there was one point in our life where we were heavily into wearing bold earrings. But if you have noticed, things have changed, and now we invest more in rings and necklaces. It’s interesting how your interest changes over the year. You feel like you’ll never change, but you DO change. And change is good! It allows you to experience new things, and you get to find out more about yourself.

I just had to take a selfie because I loved the way how this Scandi Hazel Colored Contact Lense from OLENS looked on my eye. I love how it does not look too artificial. Like as if I was naturally born with this eye color…? (You wish…haha)

At the end of shooting, we like to take some time to take a bunch of selfies (and some with weird, unexplainable poses). It’s one of our ways of celebrating the end of hard work: taking some time to fully enjoy the beautiful space and just chill for a bit.

OOTD:

That is Qjin…. lol I have no comment on this photo. I’ll leave it to your imagination Qtees. Please caption this photo in the comment below :)

Here we are, another day at another studio. If you Qtees want to check out what content we’ve created from this studio, check them out below:

We’ve never thought in a million years we’d enjoy wearing a balaclava (the one that we’re wearing in the photo is from an adorable Korean brand called Sinoon). At first, we were a bit skeptical too. “Would this actually look good on us?” “Wouldn’t we look like one of those characters from the South Park?” BUT! Good thing we decided to give it a chance because we absolutely fell in love with these head warmers. And not to mention how practical they are!

Another trend we’ve noticed for this season is these snow boots! AGAIN, it’s the style of boot trend that we’ve never thought of getting ourselves into. Coming from the fact that we were one of those people who never wore UGG boots in the 2000s, this is AMAZING! REVOLUTIONARY! And, again, these boots are so practical for the upcoming winter.

This day was one of the most torturous filmings we’ve ever done. When we arrived at the studio, the studio was so COLD. (Just to let you Qtees know, we had to wear just one layer of T-shirt to film) When we called the owner, the owner said she/he had already turned on the heater before leaving the studio. The owner told us how to increase the temperature, but it did not seem to work at all. Because we didn’t want to waste any more time, we decided to continue filming under the cold temperature. Here is the final content that we’ve created in this studio. We’re laughing here, but on the inside, we were screaming for our jackets and warm cup of tea.

Nonetheless, except for the heater, the studio had everything we needed for filming. But most of all, we loved the kitchen. We never thought the combination of Burgundy and Mustardy Yellow could work so well together. When I see a beautiful kitchen like this, it gives me this urge of wanting to cook something in that kitchen! It’s a shame that this kitchen will never be used to actually cook something other than just taking photos.

Another selfie moment to celebrate(?) the end of hard work :)

Well, that’s the end of this week’s post. Hope you Qtees enjoyed it :) Just a friendly reminder that there’s a new video uploaded on our channel where we take you Qtees to raw and unfiltered behind the scene of life as content creators. We’ll see you Qtees again this Thursday. Stay warm and happy. Love you Qtees <3

Out of Comfort Zone

Transformation

Hi Qtees :) We hope you all had a relaxing and chill weekend. We know that this place is updated weekly, but we decided to synchronize the uploading date between our blog and YouTube. Hence, you’ll be able to find new posts here whenever we upload a new video on our Youtube. (Let’s see how long we can commit to this statement haha) We’ve read all of your comments on our last blog posts! Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. They truly mean the world to us, and it has become a fueling source of energy and inspiration for us to keep up this momentum. Knowing that our Qtees find comfort and enjoyment through our mediocre posts makes us feel overly warm in our hearts.

We just wanted to share a few comments that truly made our day. You’re absolutely right Diana! This place is for surely a safe hideout and a place of share where all of our Qtees are welcomed. And same for us too Mei! Writing in this blog and sharing our thoughts with you feels like we’re besties hanging out together :)

This was a beautiful day in October. The weather was somewhat in between the end of spring and the beginning of fall; thus, the weather was undoubtedly perfect. If you Qtees ever get a chance to visit Korea and appreciate spending time in an aesthetic cafe, Seoul Forest is one of the places you must visit. And that’s Qjin trying to get that ‘aesthetic’ shots for our Qtees :)

This was the entrance of a cafe called “Texture Seongsu,” which we originally planned to visit but unfortunately was closed. Here’s a heads up! A lot of the cafes in Seoul Forest are closed on Monday. And it’s incredibly crowded during the weekend. Therefore, we highly recommend visiting cafes in Seoul Forest during the weekdays. (Lesson learned in a hard way) Texture Seongsu is known for its beautiful panorama view of the Seoul Forest and its breathtaking space design and furniture. In case you Qtees want to visit this place, I’ll leave the address down below:

Fun fact! This was our first time riding a public bus since we came to Korea roughly five years ago. Unlike the subway, the public bus is a bit confusing to ride. Where do you take the bus? Is it the bus stop located across the street? When do you press the stop button? H…help…? But, oh man: the experience was amazing. It was early in the morning; thus, there were only a handful of people inside the bus, and the warm autumn sun was gazing through the bus window, and all you could hear was the bus motor sound and Christmas song through the radio. Although it was a very short ride, we thoroughly enjoyed that ride.

Oh, and here we are taking selfies to commemorate this glorious day, haha. We had to rush out of bed to take care of an important errand this day. I don’t think we even washed our faces on that morning when we came out of the house. And obviously, we didn’t even fix our hair. But the hat will do the trick :)

We’re guessing many of our Qtees visited our blog today after watching our latest “ABG Transformation” video that we created with our dear friend Chaiwon. We met Chaiwon through work several years ago, and we have become good friends ever since! Her laugh is contagious, and we love the positive vibe she brings out to others. Whenever we spend time with her, it’s a burst of endless laughter and good times. We’re so grateful to call her our friend. AND she creates some of the most breathtaking makeup looks. She’s truly gifted with magical hands. If you Qtees want to see how Chaiwon transformed me, here is the link to the video:

Now, let’s talk about these nails. When we purchased these at Coupang, we weren’t expecting something great. However, they ended up being drop-dead GORGEOUS! But we’re still puzzled to this day: how do you wash after number 2 with these nails? If you Qtees know the answer, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could share it in the comment below. We’re genuinely curious.

Through creating content, we always get to try new things we’ve never tried before and simply get out of our comfort zone. At first, you feel unsure. But don’t fight against it. You just let things fall into place and trust the process. Because if it didn’t work out, at least you’ve tried!

You gotta try your luck at least once a day, because you could be going around lucky all day and not even know it
— Jimmy Dean

This is a photo of me taken by Chaiwon when I struggled to glue the press-on nails. Qjin described this photo as ‘Gollum playing with her precious nails…….’ (Thanks, sis. You’re awesome.) All in all, we had a good laugh here.

After roughly four hours of filming, we were all extremely famished. We decided to have dinner together at Garosugil. The fall is finally here, and it’s a shame we can enjoy these colorful leaves only for a short period. Fall is definitely one of our favorite seasons as we get to wear boots and heavy coats and play around with layering up. What’s your favorite season? By the way, I love how they look so happy here :)

We went to Saint Grill for burgers. We all had Cheeseburger with fries on the side, and Chaiwon ordered Bundaberg Ginger Beer as her drink. The bun was so soft, and the patty was so juicy, it literally melted in our mouth. I believe we ate for a good 5 minutes in silence. The food tasted better after hard work. It was also interesting how they served fries with crushed black pepper sprinkled on top. It was a very unusual combination, but we loved it!

And here is me with Chaiwon with different version of hearts….haha

The other day, we were driving passing by the Apgujeong and stumbled on this plastic surgery clinic called Popular Plastic Surgery. And we were talking to each other, “What an unusual and, quite frankly, a lazy name for a clinic?” One thing is for sure; it’s a name that you can never forget.

Here we are at Metrocity Galleria to pull out some pieces for an upcoming photoshoot. This place is like every woman’s dream closet. When we need unique pieces for photoshoots, we often loan pieces from different brands (It also makes so much sense financially.) And Metrocity Galleria is one of the brands we love wearing. Most of the pieces here are straight from the runway; thus, the pieces are a bit more explorative than the ones you can find in retails. And that’s what we love most about it! And the best part is, all the staff here at Metrocity Galleria are so sweet :)

We had a really long day on this day so sis looks a bit tired. But it was a very productive day for sure.

That’s it for today’s weekly post, and we hope you Qtees enjoyed it. The weather is going to start dropping below 10 C starting from tomorrow in Seoul, Korea. Stay warm and safe, and we’ll see you Qtees again this Sunday both at our YouTube and Blog! Love you Qtees :)

Behind the Scene

‘Hectic’ is our official middle name.

Hi Qtees! We can’t believe we’re officially starting our blog. Starting a blog has always been at the back of our minds. However, as they say, it’s easier said than done, especially with our hectic schedule. ‘Hectic’ has officially become our middle name. Mainly this November was a hectic month for us. Many brands are pushing out holiday campaigns and trying to meet their sales quota before the end of this year. But we’re NOT complaining! We enjoy the creative process behind each content that we create. And we’re so fortunate to call something that we love doing passionately as our job.

On today’s Weekly Blog, we have A LOT of studio filming. Sometimes it baffles us how content that takes several days of preparation and a handful of hours to film would end in less than a 30-second final content. Oh the things we do for content.

Here are some loads of bags full of clothing and products that are ready to be filmed. Usually, we would have a few more bags, but thankfully this day, we mainly were filming beauty content rather than fashion content. One thing is for sure, being a content creator needs a lot of physical strength. Many studios do not have parking space, so we’d have to carry all the bags from a public parking lot to the studio. And when we’re really unlucky, they don’t even have elevators…. so we’d have to carry the bags up the stairs…. yay…

On our way to the first studio we’ve booked! Thankfully the weather was perfect for filming content.

Since we were filming beauty content, we did our gel nail the other night while half-asleep lol It’s not perfect, but this will do :)

We’ve arrived at the first studio of the day. We really loved the monochrome and minimalistic theme of this studio. But most of all, look at the way how the light enters the room! We never use artificial lights when filming beauty content; thus, having perfect lighting is extremely important to us. If you Qtees are interested in watching the content we’ve created at this studio, check it out by clicking ‘HERE’ below :)

Here we are at the 2nd studio location, and Mama QQ came to help us with taking photos. Believe it or not, many of the images you Qtees see on our Instagram are taken by Mama QQ. I told Mama QQ that I was taking photos for our upcoming blog post, and she started becoming conscious of the camera haha.

Here is me posing awkwardly in front of the mirror. By the way, I’m wearing Song of Style Xale Midi Dress if you Qtees are interested :)

Our last project of the day was with beautiful Swarovski jewelry collections from Farfetch. Just look at these beautiful green and purple colors with crystal embellishment. It was actually a bit stressful working with these pieces of jewelry because we were constantly being worried if we break the pieces while shooting or lose them while moving from one location to another.

For the last studio location, we were searching for a clean space that is filled with geometric architectural designs. After searching through the internet for almost an hour, we stumbled upon this enchanting studio. The studio was actually a house that was renovated into a studio. The house consisted of 3 floors and each floor was designed in a different theme. For us, we used the 3rd floor.

This studio was a bit pricey to book. So we decided to take several different contents. Some of the content we took are scheduled to be released in December while others have already been released. You Qtees can check out what we’ve took at this studio by clicking ‘HERE’ below :)

And YES! You’ve guessed it right :) Mama QQ took that Swarovski and Charles & Keith photo for us. Thank you Mama QQ <3

Well, that’s it for today’s Weekly blog. Hope you Qtees enjoyed reading this small segment of behind the scene of filming content. (We really hope we didn’t bore you out) If you Qtees are interested, we can actually create a video where we take you along the process of creating content from A to B. Please let us know in the comment below :)

Until next week, take care and always be happy!
