Powers

Ringed by Outdoor Recreation

Powers is an inland oasis tucked in a valley ringed by the mountains of the Coastal range. Pack all the gear, it’s about to get fun!

Located on the South Fork of the Coquille River at the Northern edge of the Siskiyou National Forest, Powers is a recreation wonderland. Warmer weather offers easy access to swimming, fishing and boating, mile after mile of incredible hiking, and even great road cycling along the Powers-Glendale Bike Route. And as camp and RV sites remain open throughout the year, it’s a popular destination with hunters and anglers in winter (but check ahead for backroads closed by snow). The close-knit logging community offers basic services and shopping, and hosts several annual celebrations like the Tour de Fronds scenic cycling event in June or the Salmon Creek Run race each spring.
