Butterdon Hill

Butterdon Hill sits quietly behind Western Beacon hiding away from the traffic whizzing along the A38. Like Western Beacon though it has great views to South Hams particularly towards Plymouth and Penn Beacon. The Butterdon stone row nearby is the second longest on Dartmoor at just over 2km in length as it heads northwards towards Piles Hill. Parking in Ivybridge and following the Two Moors Way is probably the easiest way to reach this hill. There are no military firing ranges in this area.
