Ditsworthy Warren House

Ditsworthy Warren House is an old rabbit warren house situated on the south western edge of Dartmoor between Gutter Tor and the River Plym. It is believed that the Warren House was built in the 16th or 17th century, however the current structure will most likely have been built on those older foundations, making the current house a late 18th or early 19th century construction. Inside the surrounding walls and grounds around the house you can see dog kennels built into the walls and a number of other out buildings. In 2010 the house was used in the filming of the Steven Speilberg film, War Horse, however it is more commonly used these days by the military as a stone base to sleep troops who will use the house or camp in the grounds.
