Energoatom: The Russians want to connect the Ukrainian nuclear power plant in Zaporozhye to Crimea

The Russians are preparing to connect the Ukrainian nuclear plant from Zaporozhye to Crimea, a peninsula annexed by Moscow in 2014, and are damaging it by making this reorientation of electricity production. The announcement was made by the Ukrainian operator Energoatom, reports AGERPRES.

Energoatom President Petro Kotin said that to do this, the power lines of the plant connected to the Ukrainian energy system must first be damaged. From August 7 to 9, the Russians have already damaged three power lines. According to him, currently, the plant operates with only one production line, which is an extremely dangerous way of working.

Petro Kotin added that when the last production line will be disconnected, the plant will be powered by diesel generators. Everything will then depend on their reliability and fuel stocks.
