Veronica Roth (born August 19, 1988 in New York City) is an American Author most well known for writing Young Adult and/or Dystopia fiction. She is most famous for the Divergen series. She lives in Chicago.
Being of german and polish decent Roth wrote her first novel while on winter break from her college. With Divergent becoming a smash hit her career advanced rapidly from then onward. The novels of the Divergent series being published in 2011, 2012 and 2013 respectivley. She would later also publish several short stories set in the same universe.
After Divergent her next big project was the Cave The Mark duology, published in 2017 and 2018.
Recently she has left branched out into Adult Fiction as well with the 2020 novel Chosen Ones and in 2022 Poster Girl.
In 2023 she published Arch Conspirator a Science Fiction retelling of Antigone.
