Read's Cavern

This was a small Saturday trip to Read's Cavern - Burrington combe.

The plan was to take my youngest daughter Hollie(4) underground, She has been in the entrance passage to Goatchurch and has explored Redcliffe caves- http://www.bristoltours.com/Redcliffe.htm. Our first challenge was to get into the cave without getting to wet, the Hunters Brook stream was flowing well. We climbed down into the main chamber for a good look around, this gave Hollie a chance to explore with me, my eldest daughter Toni helped me take a few pictures.

Reads Cavern gave them both a chance to see the world under there feet, Hollie did not seem worried or scared of the dark, they both really enjoyed themselves without to much mud.

Hollie made up for this on the way back to the van by falling in a large muddy puddle!

You have developed a style all of your own and I really like it. Look forward to seeing more in a similar vein.  The trip pictures take me back to when my kids were that age - they have turned into very keen cavers and my eldest Sally has just started taking pictures underground!
