Biography

2020-21 (RS-JUNIOR): Played in 22 games making four starts for the Dons...logged 331 minutes averaging 15.1 minutes per contest...averaged 4.7 points per game while shooting 38.0 percent from the field (38-for-100)...finished in double figures four-times on the year and scored a season-high 24 points in the win over Long Beach State...he was 7-for-11 from the field in that contest and 4-for-6 from 3-point range...finished the year shooting 27.3 percent from beyond the arc (12-for-44)...made his USF debut on Nov. 25 against UMass-Lowell had seven points and an assist in that contest...finished with 10 points going 4-for-8 from the field in the game at Oregon. 

2019-20 (JUNIOR): Utilized red-shirt year due to NCAA transfer rules. 

PRIOR TO USF:  Was a two-time letter winner for Grand Canyon...played in 60 games making 26 starts for the Lopes...as a sophomore he played in 34 games making 26 starts...he led the Lopes in minutes per game averaging 28.3 minutes per contest while scoring10.3 points per game which was fourth on the team...led GCU in assists (3.60 and steals (1.4)...ranked fourth in the WAC with a 3.6-to-1.9 assist-to-turnover ratio...scored a career-high 25 points in a come-from-behind win at UT Rio Grande Valley on Jan. 12...as a freshman he saw action in 26 games, averaging 9.4 minutes and 4.5 points as a reserve...led team with 52.6 percent 3-point shooting (minimum 10 attempts), going 10 for 19 on the season...also led team in free throw percentage (minimum 25 attempts), going 48 for 57 (84.2 percent) on the season.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL:  A four-year starter who led the Mariners to a 100-29 mark in his career to be the winningest player in school history...named The San Francisco Chronicle’s 2016-17 Boys Metro Player of the Year, one of many awards that led to his head coach calling him "one of the most decorated high school players ever (in California)."...accumulated 2,353 points with a career average of 19.4...helped lead team to three North Coast Section titles in his four years...mariners started 4-9 during his senior campaign in 2016-17 but, after shifting the offense to revolve more around Milstead, the team won 21 consecutive games and reached the state title game...hit the 40-point mark three times during his senior season, including a career-best 44 points on Dec. 2, 2016. Scored 30 or more points in 11 games...led the team in points per game as a senior (25.8) and junior (19.1)...shot 40 percent from 3-point range (37 of 92) as a junior in 2015-16...parents are Jules Milstead and Jarecka Holmes...father, Jules, played at Fremont-Oakland in the 1990s and later coached with AAU’s Oakland Soldiers...favorite athletes are Kobe Bryant, Tom Brady and Russell Westbrook.
