Jonathan Majors (born Sept. 7, 1989) is an American actor who has starred in movies and shows like Marvel's "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," MGM and Michael B. Jordan's boxing sequel "Creed III," the indie film "The Last Black Man in San Francisco" and earned an Emmy nomination for HBO's "Lovecraft Country." He was found guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment against his ex-girlfriend in a New York trial in 2023, and he was subsequently fired by Marvel from his villain role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Majors' first on-screen role was in the TV series "When We Rise" (2017) playing activist Ken Jones. That same year, he landed his first film role in the revisionist Western "Hostiles," starring Christian Bale. In 2018, he appeared in "White Boy Rick" and "Out of Blue," and his breakout performance was in Joe Talbot's directorial debut "The Last Black Man in San Francisco" in 2019. He received an Independent Film Spirit Award nomination for his role. He then starred in Netflix and Spike Lee's "Da 5 Bloods" opposite Chadwick Boseman and Delroy Lindo in 2020 and reteamed with the streamer for "The Harder They Fall" in 2021. He had roles on TV in HBO's fantasy series "Lovecraft Country" and Disney+'s "Loki," in which he debuted as Kang in Season 1. In 2022, he starred with Glen Powell in "Devotion," and in 2023 he had a big year with "Creed III" and "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quatumania." He also starred in the bodybuilding movie "Magazine Dreams," which was pulled from its theatrical release after his assault conviction.
