BRISTOW, Gwen – of Heinsburg, AB passed away April 25, 2012 in the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC, while enjoying a holiday with her daughter, Dianne. Gwen is loved and remembered by 4 sons and 4 daughters: Dianne (Robert) Stewart of Vermilion, Darlene (Melvin) Roth of Sherwood Park, Donna (Kenny) Sidener of Tulliby Lake, David (friend Lorry Fleming) of Heinsburg, Fred (Mona) of Heinsburg, Lorne (Wendy) of Stockholm, SK, Kevin (Glenda) of Heinsburg, Rosalie (Simon) Bodurka of Vermilion; 12 grandchildren: Carmella (Tyler), Charles (Trisha), Olivia, Amanda, Levi, Royle, Ashley, Nicole, Dallas, Tyson, Alexis, Alyssa; 5 great grandchildren: Jaguar, Hudson, Bentley, Dylan, Dane; 4 step-grandchildren: Aaron, Cole, Kyle, Kurt; her sisters Josephine Gordy (Stan) of Clyde, Audrey Edwards (Dennis) of Edmonton, Beverly Kokotailo (Dan) of Red Deer, Betty Lavoie (Raymond) of Edmonton; her brother Allister (Joan) Needham of Westlock; sisters-in-law: Doris (Dan) Stetsko of Redwater and Anne Bristow of Lloydminster. She was predeceased by her husband Elmer and her parents Harold and Alice Hyatt. The funeral service was held May 1, 2012 in the Heinsburg Community Hall with Pastor Wendy Dewar officiating. Mom’s love for music was certainly portrayed by Kevin Nelson and the Cliff Quist family. Interment took place in the Frog Lake Cemetery. Crossroads Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
