MACON, Ga. -- Georgia gas prices rose in the last 10 days but held steady on Wednesday.

The average price of gasoline in the state is $2.10 per gallon, but that could increase another five cents because of rising wholesale gasoline prices.

Georgians statewide paid two center more per gallon Wednesday than the previous week. Statewide though, the average is five cents less than in December and 35 cents less than January 2018.

One Macon motorist talked about the recent increase in gas prices.

"Well, it's killing me because we were so use to it being low about a month ago and then now it just keeps shooting up, like the economy's going up so I don't know what's going on but it's killing me, because I'm driving a big SUV and I was saving money and now my money's going back out the window," they said.

Drivers can find Bibb County's cheapest gas prices as of January 23 at the Chevron station on Shurling Dr. for $1.92 per gallon.
