Disney has announced a brand new Spanish Original series called “Nos vemos en otra vida”, aka “See You In Another Life”, which is an adaptation of Manuel Jabois’s book, which is based on the interview that Gabriel Montoya Vidal, Baby, gave him to talk about his connection with a terrorist attack committed on European soil on March 11th, 2004.

In that year, Baby was a sixteen-year-old teenager who, along with Emilio Trashorras, participated in the transfer of the explosives to be used in Madrid. Baby was the first convicted of the attacks, and his testimony was key in a trial in 2007.

The show was created by Jorge and Alberto Sánchez-Cabezudo (Crematorio, La Zona) and has been produced in collaboration with Kubik Films.

This series was filmed in Asturias and Madrid.  It stars Roberto Gutiérrez in the role of “Baby” teenager. It will also star Quim Ávila (Girasoles wild) in the role of “Baby” adult; Pol López (winner of the Gaudí Prize for Suro) as Emilio Trashorras, Tamara Casellas (winner of the Silver Biznaga to Best Actress at the Malaga Festival by Ama) as the mother of Baby and Mourad Ouani (La Unidad) as El Chino, one of the leaders of the terrorist group.

The new show has been written by Paul and Daniel Remón (winners of a Goya a Best Guion Adapted by Intemperie), Roberto Martín Maiztegui (La Ruta) and Guillermo Chapa.    Borja Soler (La Ruta) is also a director on the series.  The show will have its music composed by Olivier Arson (winner of the Goya to Best Original Music by As Bestas and The Kingdom) and Abel Hernandez.

Sofia Fábregas, vice president of original Disney production, Spain, said in a statement (translated)

A necessary series. Since the authorship of Jorge and Alberto Sánchez-Cabezudo and the Manuel Jabois’ collaboration, we bring to the present and the new generations, one of the most painful episodes in our history since the rigor of the facts and sensitivity to the victims.
