Gaasbeek Castle is a medieval castle that has had an eventful history. The castle evolved from a strategic stronghold to a large estate. One of the most famous owners was the Earl of Egmont. The visitor walks in the Gaasbeek Castle through historical interiors, where tapestries, paintings, furniture, pictures and other valuable objects are displayed. The castle park consists of ancient trees, ponds, alleys, winding paths and historic buildings. The estate also houses the museum garden with old fruits and vegetables.
