It's practically impossible to drive by the home of one Allegan County man without noticing the dozens of snow sculptures spread across his yard.

About halfway between South Haven and Fennville, along 111th Avenue, just west of the 64th Street intersection, you'll discover the sculptures spread across the Leach property.

The man behind the art, Phillip Leach, has created an annual sight for his neighbors to look forward to. Three years ago he started the tradition of building the sculptures.

Fresh snow offers the building material to create the oversized animals, figures and objects. He combines snow and water in buckets, creating the building blocks needed for the more intricate designs.

In 2019, Leach said his intention of building the sculptures was to brighten the day of neighbors and various delivery drivers that had to be out in the winter weather.
