The Isle of Arran: Goatfell

A bright day provided the perfect opportunity to walk to the summit of Goatfell, one of the most distinctive summits on Arran.

On the steep slope which fall away to the west of the summit is another possible source of pitchstone. I search the area, but find no pieces to confirm that I am in the right location. Similar to the outcropping on Beinn Tarsuinn, the setting is spectacular: precisely the kind of place I would expect Neolithic people to have explored.
