Bdelyrus metaensis is known only from a single locality. As such there is
inadequate information concerning the population size, distribution, and
ecology of this species to undertake an accurate assessment of extinction
risk, resulting in a listing of Data Deficient.

Threat(s):
It is unknown whether this species is affected by any major
threat processes as very little is known about the habitat and
ecology of the species.

would provide information concerning population size and
ecology. This would allow any potential areas of occurrence to
be identified, any threats to this species to be assessed,
and the subsequent conservation actions to be proposed.
