Current demands on education make the institutions of higher education prepare flexible forms of education in full-time or part-time study. Learning is becoming more personal while becoming more connected to the surroundings and with more potential for connected, collaborative activity. The paper analyses formal requirements related to e-learning in institutions of higher education in Poland and Slovakia.
In this paper we consider the position of tourism and territorial marketing in the context of paradigmatic change to tertiary Geography education in Slovakia. The theoretical framework of this paradigm is defined by the revised Bloom‟s taxonomy, Tuning methodology and the Dublin descriptors reflected in the Slovak normative framework. In the second part, we use the specific example University of Prešov and the structure of its bachelor study programme in Geography and Applied Geoinformatics. We focus primarily on the curricular structure of the Tourism and Territorial Marketing module, which is made up of 15 study subjects with an aggregate of 55 credits. We demonstrate how the paradigm is implemented to ensure learning outcomes through the example of the Destination Marketing subject. We emphasize these learning outcomes: the knowledge, skills and competences which the student gains through successful completion of the course. We also consider the subject content. Our aim is to point out the advantages of the programme‟s modular structure especially in terms of its professional profile and specific value for potential employer.

In the discussions about the quality of education, an important place have the questions about the academic curriculum, skills of search, interpretation and creative usage of the information. Therefore there are increased demands on the teachers in higher education and on their skills to work with texts. Teacher should critically and creatively work with variety of texts and information and also be able to teach the students to work in this way. There is also a need to be effective in the work with information, to create texts and be able to use tools of ICT as a part of education and functional literacy. The study brings besides the theoretical overview also some practical examples from the higher education and thoughts about selected questions.

The paper is an outcome of the APVV project 18-0018 "Teaching at second chance schools from the perspective of a teacher and an adult learner" (Slovak Research and Development Agency). Abstract: The paper offers an analysis of the current situation in so-called 'second chance education' in Slovakia. It is characterised by problematic accessibility, especially for people with little or no education, while the rate of early school leaving in Slovakia has been steadily increasing in recent years. According to Švec (2008, p. 225), second chance education is understood as "an opportunity for adults to obtain, in a continuous education cycle, the kind and level of education usually acquired in childhood or youth during the initial education cycle". Education of this kind is framed by several legal norms in Slovakia, particularly focusing on the legal framework of education aimed at lower secondary education (ISCED 2) and secondary vocational education (ISCED 2C, 3A, 3C). At the same time, forms of second chance education and problems with their application in practice are dealt with. The paper also includes available statistical data on the number of people who have completed this type of education.

How to use the Linux Kali operating system and ethical hackingThis research paper on "How to use the Linux Kali operating system and Ethical Hacking" will examine: (1) respondents' opinions about hackers, i.e., whether they consider hackers to be moral or immoral people and which hackers are bad or good, (2) whether respondents have ever hacked or not, (3) if respondents have not ever hacked, what was the reason, (4) if respondents have hacked, what was the reason, (5) whether respondents, i.e., the 'respondents' data, have ever been hacked on a computer and / or on social networks, (6) what the reasons for hacking were according to the respondents, (7) whether there is a need to introduce the teaching of ethical hacking in certain subjects in schools and / or in university courses, (8) whether the respondents believe that hackers are malicious people, (9) whether the respondents have heard of the operating system Kali Linux, (10) whether respondents knew that Kali Linux strongly supports open source and that it is free, (11) whether respondents have ever used Kali Linux, (12) whether respondents have used and/or use Kali Linux and if they hacked-what they think are the best tools for hacking and penetration testing, (13) whether respondents knew that one of the six basic principles of hacking ethics is: "All information must be free", (14) whether respondents agreed with the assertion that: "Many hackers show that 'real hackers' use the most used Windows to protect their identity", (15) whether the respondents knew that Kali Linux, a Linux distribution based on Debian, is intended for digital forensics, penetration testing and hacking. In addition to the survey, the paper will also use the scientific method of content analysis, based on which individual definitions of open-source application programs for ethical hacking will be given, including definitions of operating systems from the group of open-source tools, with an emphasis on Kali Linux. The survey was carried out on respondents (sample) who belong to the group of hacking tools users. Also, all types of hackers will be explained theoretically.

The Impact of the Industry 4.0 Concept on Slovak Business Sustainability within the Issue of the Pandemic OutbreakMany studies have found that the most significant job structure changes in the Slovak business environment can be expected in production and logistics. The biggest manpower shortages are in the fields of mechanical engineering, production, construction, information sciences and communication technologies, and medical sciences. The smallest manpower shortage can be found in the humanities and social science areas. The main objective of this research was to assess the trends within the Slovak labor market from the perspective of the companies that participated in a survey focused on their assumptions on job structure changes in the context of the implementation of the elements of Industry 4.0. The estimation was based on a questionnaire conducted during the spring months of 2020 with the participation of 175 companies and institutions. The results showed that one third of companies anticipate job cuts in the implementation of smart industry. Along with the job position disposal and th...
This report builds on the general description of media-based learning and education for media literacy contained in the year one report and the description of how media education and media literacy are dealt with in the curricula of the different regions and countries in the year two report. Its main focus is on the degree to which training in the production of educational media and in the general topic of media literacy is available to trainee and in-service teachers, adult educators, trainers and academic staff in each region or country. This is the third in a series of three reports which together aim to chart the media and learning landscape in Europe. As explained already in the earlier reports they are part of a process of familiarisation which is at the heart of successful European network building. MEDEAnet involved 8 partners in 7 European countries and was a 3-year network project funded under the Lifelong Learning Programme, running from January 2012 to December 2014.
