AdventHealth Wesley Chapel Celebrates 10 Years of Providing Care

Wesley Chapel, Fla. - AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is celebrating a legacy of transforming health care in the community for the past 10 years. The original $150 million investment was the first hospital in Wesley Chapel and opened with 83 beds on October 1, 2012 and has more than doubled in size to 169 beds. Since opening, the hospital has invested more than a total of $400 million in expansion and services to provide unmatched award-winning care to more than 800,000 patients.

AdventHealth Wesley Chapel has amassed several prestigious national accolades over the years and exceeded community milestones including:

  • Achieving 14 consecutive Leapfrog ‘A’ grades in patient safety,
  • Performing over 56,000 surgeries,
  • Delivering more than 5,000 babies,
  • Providing more than $307 million in community benefit services.

In 2015, hospital leaders unveiled a three-story addition to the hospital. The more than 100,000 square foot project consisted of offices, guest waiting areas, an expansion to the existing emergency and surgery departments, as well as 86 additional patient rooms – bringing the total count at the hospital to 169. In 2017, hospital leaders introduced Inspiration Place, a 12,000-square-foot concierge health facility dedicated to whole-person health care services for women.

In 2018, the hospital opened AdventHealth Central Pasco ER, an offsite 24 bed, 24/7 emergency room serving the emergency health needs of residents in west and central Pasco County. In 2021, the hospital opened a new 100,000 square foot medical office building on campus, a new Oncology unit with 24 in-patient rooms, and two new operating rooms.

In addition, the hospital opened in January 2018 an offsite 24 bed, 24/7 emergency room in Central Pasco to better serve the emergency health needs of residents in west and central Pasco. In 2021, the hospital opened a new 100,000 square foot medical office building on campus, a new Oncology unit with 24 in-patient rooms, and two new Operating Rooms. The hospital features a 50,000 sq. ft. community fitness, Wellness Center, and a wide range of community offerings such as health and wellness presentations, screenings, and events.
