Delgado 47th Flying Training Wing Public Affairs Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas -- The new congressman representing the Texas' 23rd Congressional District, made a visit to Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, Saturday January 10, 2014, three days after being sworn in. U.S. Rep. Will Hurd, was elected in November to represent the 29-county district that encompasses from San Antonio to El Paso. Since his election, the congressman has traveled throughout Southwest Texas, introducing himself to the people of the district he now represents. While at Laughlin, the congressman met with the Col. Brian Hastings, 47th Flying Training Wing commander, along with Laughlin leadership and Del Rio civic leaders. He was given a mission brief detailing Laughlin's overall mission; to train and graduate the world's best pilots.
