Galvez Chapter SAR honors Mobile Police Officer Chad Wynne

MOBILE, Alabama — The General Galvez Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution honored Chad Wynne of the Mobile Police Department with one of its highest national awards, the Law Enforcement Commendation Medal. Wynne was shot in the chest on March 2, 2012, when he arrived on the scene during a robbery at the Midtown Winn-Dixie.

Chapter President Mack Matthews and Chapter Law Enforcement Awards Chairman John Goss presented the medal to Wynne at the Mobile City Council meeting on May 29.
