Submitted by Shez Updated on January 24, 2024 Save Rate Print Share Trending Videos Close this video player 3 3 Prep Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs 30 mins Total Time: 8 hrs 40 mins Servings: 6 Jump to Nutrition Facts Ingredients 1 pound turkey ham or regular ham 1 cup baby carrots 4 large red potatoes, cubed 6 cloves garlic ½ head cabbage, cut into 6 wedges 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth, as needed 12 pearl onions Directions Arrange a bed of baby carrots and red potatoes in a slow cooker; place turkey ham flat-side down on top. Add garlic cloves and place cabbage wedges over turkey ham. Pour in enough chicken broth to cover. Cook on Low for 8 hours; stir in pearl onions and continue to cook until onions are tender, about 30 more minutes. Cook’s Note This is traditionally served on a plate, without the broth. However, my husband eats this like a soup, in a bowl, with the broth.Don't rush home to make it on time for 8 hours. I've cooked it for 10 hours on a late day, and it was still wonderful.
