From bestselling indie author and TikTok favorite Laura Thalassa comes the next installment of a witch fantasy set in the world of the Bargainer series. Only the dangerously handsome Memnon the Cursed can help Selene find the answers she seeks...if she doesn't lose her heart first.

No one told witch Selene Bowers having a soul mate would be so difficult. Nor did they warn her that he might be a vengeful, ancient sorcerer who would frame her for murder, force her to remember a past life he swears she lived, and then coerce her into an unbreakable marriage pact. But that's exactly what happens the night of the Samhain Ball, when Selene finds herself in a jail cell.

After waking from enchanted sleep, Memnon swore to discover why Selene betrayed him long ago. But when his soul mate's memories return, the truth reveals something else entirely. Horrified by his own actions and desperate to make amends, Memnon offers Selene the unthinkable: a magic bond that will give her full control over his will. And Selene is desperate enough to accept it.

But other enemies still haunt Henbane Coven, Selene's magical academy, and they've taken a keen interest in her. If she wants to stop them, she'll need Memnon's help. But partnering with the sorcerer is a tricky business, especially when he's dead set on winning her heart. And that can't happen…because the bond controlling him will break the moment she falls in love with him.

Found in the forest when she was young, Laura Thalassa was raised by fairies, kidnapped by werewolves, and given over to vampires as repayment for a hundred year debt. She’s been brought back to life twice, and, with a single kiss, she woke her true love from eternal sleep. She now lives happily ever after with her undead prince in a castle in the woods.

… or something like that anyway.

When not writing, Laura can be found scarfing down guacamole, hoarding chocolate for the apocalypse, or curled up on the couch with a good book.

Omggggg. This book was everything I needed it to be and more! It was clear after I finished Bewitched that I *had* to see if Memnon could ever redeem himself. I mean, I’m a huge fan of a morally grey MMC, but Memnon was NOT HOLDING BACK on exacting his revenge.Luckily, Bespelled picks up exactly where Bewitched left off and all I can say is that the author expertly crafted every scene to not only cajole Selene into falling for her long lost mate—but she also does the same with her readers. I might have gone into this book wanting to shake some sense into Memnon, but this book had me very slowly but surely doing a 180°. (Then again, I love a villain archetype, lol)What you can expect:Witchy ceremonies in graveyards🪦Broomstick mayhem🧹Groveling 🙌🏻Touch her and 🔪 vibesHe’s only soft for herMysteries and murder 😳The way the author artfully weaved in memories of the past to help us better understand both characters, their individual character evolutions, and watching them rediscover who they could be in this new version of themselves was probably my favorite part of this book.I can’t wait for the next!

Let me start by saying that I appreciate and love the recap of the previous book at the beginning of this one. It's been a while since I've read the first book, and the recap not only made me laugh out loud, but it helped me remember why I enjoyed the characters so much. That cliffhanger ending though, just when I thought all was right with the world of Selene and Memnon, the author drops another surprise. This story is filled with action, suspense, revenge, betrayal, surprises, secrets, battles, deaths, threats, illicit dealings, kidnappings, forced and forged bonds, friendships, love, sweet and laugh out loud moments and so much more. There's a sighting of an unexpected blast from the past that almost causes massive deaths, but that battle hasn't even begun and I'm excited to see how it ends for that person. Selene fought a good fight but when it came to Memnon she didn't stand a chance. Oh, how the mighty have fallen but Memnon makes it so easy to fall and I can't wait to read what happens with them especially with that ending. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I think this series is perfect for anyone that loves paranormal romance stories with a strong male and female lead character, witches, wolves, demons, humans and more. It did not disappoint.

Bespelled is a fantasy romance and book two in the Bewitched series. As always this will be spoiler free, so if this seems vague that’s why. After the events at the end of Bewitched, Selene is adjusting to the consequences of her decisions. Memnon is now an integral part of her life whether she wants him to be or not. So what will she do when her current life collides with the past?

I’m absolutely loving this series! This world is so unique and I loved seeing more of it in this book. Selene has grown so much as a character and I really enjoyed her in this book. Memnon continues to be the most fantastic possessive, morally gray, delicious man and I love him so much. He is unabashedly himself and unapologetic in his ruthlessness.

This book was a fantastic five star read for me! I love this world and the characters! This book had some darker elements, so please check triggers if you’re sensitive. This book also had some delightful spicy scenes throughout, so three flames for spice

If you’re a fan of strong characters, unique world building and ancient enemies vibes, then absolutely pick this one up! As this is a continuation of the first book, I absolutely recommend reading them in order.

So I just naively walked right off that cliff… and I suppose I shall just dangle here until answers are granted!

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

I thought nothing could top Bewitched… I mean I fell in love with that book on page one, but Laura Thalassa has done it again! Bespelled was everything I could’ve hoped it to be and more!! If you’re looking for a sequel that answers all of your question while keeping you on the edge of your seat only to end with one giant cliffhanger, with a deliciously dark slow burn, high intensity romantic plot, filled with just the right amount of heat, hilarious banter, a grumpy panther familiar, a FMC that may have started off shy but is beginning to bear her fangs, and a MMC who cares for her and only her , than this book is a must read! I truly fell in love with this story, its world and Memnon and Selene all over again so if this series isn’t on your TBR yet… well then now is the time to add it. Especially since now I’ll just be waiting for oh so (im)patiently for book three!!

This was a fantastic sequel and I can’t wait for the rest of the books in this series.

Memnon did gravel hard to win back Selene and it worked. He is still a hot af walking red flag however when it comes to Selene he is 100% ride and die.
He is slowly replacing Des as my new book BF.

We got more insight into Selene and Sybil’s relationship and they are true besties. Ride and die without all the walking red flags of Memnon. I enjoyed their relationship so much.

The plot flowed so well, the characters all had amazing development, and some story plots that were introduced last book were finalized and more teased for future books. Everything in this book was so well done, thought out, and brought me pure joy, sadness, tears, and laughter as the character went through those emotions/situations themselves.

As always Lauren Thalassa does it again
