"The 2016 rendition of Chateau L’Escart’s 'Cuvee Eden' is a great representation of what this little estate (located in the Entre Deux Mers) is capable of. Aromatically, this is composed of crisp bing cherries, tobacco and English breakfast tea. The wine in the bottle just goes to show, you don’t have to age Bordeaux forever for it to be ready to drink. Besides overall deliciousness and drinkability, this estate is Certified Organic and Biodynamic. Some of our customers may be familiar with Chateau Le Bergey, one of the finest sub-$15 wines we have the opportunity of selling; that wine also comes from this same estate, but you can think of Chateau L’Escart as the big boy version. Because of its super accessible tannic structure, the wine is more versatile at the table than your average Bordeaux, and can extend well-beyond rugged cuts of beef. It’s also very pleasant to drink all on its own."
