A well-developed network of cycling and hiking trails surrounds Lake Goitzsche, offering many choices for joggers and skaters. Those who prefer a more languid pace can explore the lake on a passenger ship, a pirate ship or even a catamaran. The water level tower (Pegelturm), the red tower (Roter Turm) and the nearby Bitterfeld Arch (Bitterfelder Bogen) offer fantastic views. Various gastronomic facilities exist at Mühlbeck Beach, along the Bernsteinpromenade, and in the city harbor. Houseboats, floating vacation homes, a camping park and vacation homes near the water invite you to an extended stay near Lake Goitzsche.
