What’s not to love? A smaller, dense, rounded habit, amazing bloom performance, delicious fragrance and superior disease resistance makes this “Korean Lilac” one of the most popular Lilacs around. Opening from rich purple buds, 4-6” tight clusters of lavender-lilac flowers are displayed in great abundance in late Spring, filling the air with their heady fragrance. 4-6’ tall and 6’ across with small oval foliage, its compact form won’t overwhelm a smaller garden making it ideal for hedges, massing or as an accent. An added bonus – the leaves turn burgundy in Fall. Hardy and slow growing, low maintenance and pest free, it even thrives in humid southern climates. A light pruning in Fall is recommended as well as an early Spring side-dress of compost. Loamy soil – but CLAYISH tolerant. Best cut flowers! Deer resistant!
