Eight flowers and two buds on four inflorescences plus two immature inflorescences, borne on a 44-cm wide by 17-cm high plant grown in a 15-cm plastic pot, in a bark, perlite, and moss mix, plant with 17 live pseudobulbs up to 2-cm x 4-cm, five of which have up to three leaves, plicate, lanceolate, measuring up to 6-cm x 22-cm; inflorescences and flowers pendulous; sepals and petals ivory, tipped chartreuse, dorsal dotted, and veined red-brown darker centrally;: lip ivory, overlaid red-brown along margins, darker centrally; white hairs to 1-cm in length along apical margin and apex surface; callus white, double knobbed with antennae like extensions towards apex, side-lobes erect, talon shaped; column chartreuse, margins yellow, anther cap yellow ; substance soft, texture satiny, exterior matte: originally awarded as Paphinia cristata now we think that this is benzingii, a species not yet recognized in Orchids Plus.
