Temperament: Apistogrammoides pucallpaensis is a placid speceis, but will exibit teritorial behaviours when spawning.

Company: Apistogrammoides pucallpaensis should be accompanied by smaller, peaceful fishes such as tetras, small barbs, small gouramis, other dwarf cichlids, loaches, small catfish and other small peaceful species.

Aquarium Setup: The tank should have plenty of caves for the female to select from for spawning purposes. Wood and aquatic plants should also be present. Indian almond leaves can be used on the bottom to create a natural environment for Apistogrammoides pucallpaensis.

Feeding: Aapistogrammoides pucallpaensis should be fed frozen and live foods, but they will also accept flake and small pellets. Bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia, white worms and other frozen/live foods are preferred.
