Peter Löscher, former CEO of Siemens, will new CEO of Renova Management AG in Zurich, Switzerland 2014.02.19

Moscow, Russia and Zurich, Switzerland - February 18, 2014 - Viktor Vekselberg, the founder of Renova Group and Chairman of its Board of Directors will become Chairman of a newly formed Board of Renova Management AG (RMAG) in Zurich, Switzerland. Mr. Vekselberg will be joined on the new Board of RMAG by Peter Loescher, a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank; Josef Ackermann, a member of the Board of Royal Dutch Shell; Orit Gadiesh, Chairman of Bain & Company, and Vladimir Kuznetsov, Chief Strategy Officer of Renova Group. Peter Loescher will take up the role of Chief Executive Officer of RMAG as a Board delegate, beginning March 2014. Also, Mr. Loescher will also be offered an opportunity to invest in the assets managed by RMAG.

Viktor Vekselberg, the founder of Renova Group and Chairman of its Board of Directors will become Chairman of a newly formed Board of Renova Management AG (RMAG) in Zurich, Switzerland.

RMAG will mainly focus on managing Renova Group’s international assets (primarily - OC Oerlikon AG and Sulzer AG), and, in due course, a number of additional assets of the Group as well as new assets where RMAG can bring strategic capabilities as an industrial investor in relevant sectors.

Josef Ackermann

Josef Ackermann is Member of the Board of Royal Dutch Shell, Investor AB and EQT Holdings AB, Vice-Chairman of Belenos Clean Power Holding.
Previously Chairman of the Management Board and the Group Executive Committee of Deutsche Bank, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zurich Insurance Group, Second Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Siemens, Member of the Advisory Board of China Banking Regulatory Commission and National Bank of Kuwait.
Mr. Ackermann is Member of the International Advisory Board of Akbank, plays an active role in the World Economic Forum (Vice-Chairman of the Foundation Board); is Honorary Chairman of the St. Gallen Foundation for International Studies, Honorary Senate Member of the Foundation Lindau Nobel prizewinners Meetings at Lake Constance, and Advisory Director at New York’s Metropolitan Opera.
Also, and amongst others, Mr. Ackermann accepted an appointment as Visiting Professor in finance at the London School of Economics, and was appointed Honorary Professor at Frankfurt’s Johann Wolfgang Goethe University.
Furthermore, he is an Honorary Fellow of the London Business School and holds an Honorary Doctorate from the Democritus University of Thrace in Greece.
Mr. Ackermann gained his doctorate in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of St. Gallen Switzerland.


Vladimir Kuznetsov

Vladimir Kuznetsov is a managing director of Renova Group responsible for the Group's strategic development.
Mr. Kuznetsov represents the Group on Boards and supervisory committees of a number of its portfolio companies.
Mr. Kuznetsov has over 20 years of experience in M&A and financial consulting.
Prior to joining Renova Group in 2001, he was the CEO of Financial Advisory Services LLC, an M&A advisory firm.
In 1992-1998, Mr. Kuznetsov was Deputy General Director at Goldman Sachs in Moscow and the General Director of the Moscow branch of Solomon Brothers.
Mr. Kuznetsov has a PhD in economics from the Institute of World Economy and International Relations (Moscow) and a Master’s degree in international relations from the School of International and Public Affairs of Columbia University, as well as a diploma in mathematical economics from the Moscow State University.
