BMW K1300R Dynamic Special Edition (2011-2012) Specs, Performance & Photos

The BMW K1300R was a sports naked motorcycle that debuted in 2008 as a replacement for the K1200R, which was BMW's flagship urban model. The bike was manufactured until 2015 and was considered a muscle bike due to its high power output and fast acceleration.

In addition, the BMW K1300R was the fastest accelerating naked motorcycle, beating its closest competitor, Suzuki B-king, by one-tenth of a second. Over its production period, the bike was never offered in the United States, although it was sold in the smaller Canadian market.

In 2011, the German motorcycle manufacturer launched the BMW K1300R Dynamic Special Edition, a unique machine that packed a selection of options and accessories, such as Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA II), Gear Shift Assist, BMW sports wheels, on-board computer, a sports windscreen, heated grips, and LED indicators.

The bike was built on an aluminum bridge-type frame with the renowned Duolever front and Paralever rear suspension system. As for stopping power, the bike's wheels were fitted with two 320 mm discs and four-piston calipers on the front and a 265 mm disc with a dual-piston caliper on the rear wheel.

The 2011 BMW K1300R Dynamic Special Edition had installed underneath its fuel tank a 1,298cc four-stroke liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine that delivered an output power of 173 hp at 9,250 rpm and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) torque at 8,250 rpm.
