HERITAGE AND RENOWN

Since its classification as a Margaux Grand Cru Classé in 1855, Château Dauzac has embodied the very essence of winemaking excellence. Nestled in the verdant landscapes of the Médoc, this prestigious estate enjoys a rare privilege: a single vineyard covering 49 hectares, of which 45 hectares are in the Margaux appellation and 4 hectares in the Haut-Médoc appellation. Over the decades, it has built up an incomparable reputation, symbolizing the elegance and tradition of the great Bordeaux vineyards.

Located close to the Gironde estuary, Dauzac's exceptional terroir is shaped by a favorable microclimate, influenced by the gentle winds of the Atlantic Ocean. This first part highlights the rich and prestigious history of this emblematic estate, underlining its winegrowing heritage and its commitment to producing wines of exceptional quality.

TRADITION AND INNOVATION

Harvesting is entirely manual to preserve the integrity of the fruit. Each plot is vinified separately in temperature-controlled vats, ensuring gentle extraction of the tannins. Since 2014, the use of wooden vats with double transparent staves has enabled more precise vinification, with a rethought pumping-over method. A rigorous selection of wood for the barrels is carried out, with aging for 12 to 18 months in extra-fine French oak barrels. Since 2016, Château Dauzac has been producing 100% Vegan wines using plant proteins for fining, a first among 1855 Grands Crus Classés.
