Huernia pillansii is a succulent plant of the Apocynaceae family, native to South Africa. Small, usually does not exceed 18 cm in height. It is made up of thick, erect stems, olive green in color. Its stems have modified leaves that simulate thorns on their surface. The flowers are red with numerous yellow conical papillae.

Huernia pillansii is a succulent plant of the Apocynaceae family, native to South Africa. Small, usually does not exceed 18 cm in height. It is made up of thick, erect stems, olive green in color. Its stems have modified leaves that simulate thorns on their surface. The flowers are red with numerous yellow conical papillae.

  • Light: Illuminated but in semi-shade, avoid direct sun
  • Irrigation: little, avoid flooding and it is even recommended not to water in winter if the area is very humid
  • Temperature range: 12 - 30 ºC
  • Substratum: Mineral substrate that allows drainage, we recommend our substrate for cacti and succulents
