There is an empty space for a 2.5" sata drive. 2) The memory is 1 stick and there is room for another. 3) 256 is minimum you will want for win 10 and some programs and data. 4) The windows is Win 10 S - which is a pain to get rid since you must create a windows account to get rid of it. Otherwise, you can use as-is or get rid of it with the account and a few clicks. 5) paid $350 on sale 6) Works well as expected for an i5 with onboard graphics. 7) photos show back removed for access to disk drive.

It's ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The laptop works well for what I use it which is simply search the web and minor jobs. If not updated when it needs it, the laptop shuts down, goes into a blue screen and error message which by uploading the latest updated fixes it. The F keys and audio keys somehow aren't working, either theirs some to turn them on, I guess I haven't find out how to do it which I been using the touch screen to turn either raise or lower the volume. Besides that apps do run well, though I use it for simple jobs. I did remove the S mode on the laptop by watching a video through YouTube. So far laptop works well though you better off looking somewhere else.

We're sorry to hear about the Blue Screen Error messages that you've been receiving. If you'd like to diagnose the errors you can follow these steps:
1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type "problem reports".
2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.

A Solid Performing Computer Affordably Priced

No real complaints other than a backlit keyboard would be nice to have as would cellular capabilities. Other than that I have no complaints and would recommend this to anyone looking for a good device without breaking the bank.

- A:Answer I can confirm there is a extra ram dimm slot. ddr4. Also an open hard drive space for 2.5" hard drive or ssd. Nice laptop. my buddy bought one and i ordered another 8 gig ram $40 and a 1T 2.5"wd hard drive $40. should be a nice machine.

- A:Answer It does not have a built-in DVD drive, but you can hook up an external CD/DVD drive via one of its USB ports. Inexpensive external CD/DVD drives are available for as little as $20-$30, even at BestBuy.

- A:Answer S mode is used to keep people from installing software that has not been added to the Windows Store. This is an effort by Microsoft, supported by Dell, to make their computer more like a Macbook which can only run Apple software. This does make the computer more secure and safer for users, but you have to be willing to accept that you can only use programs and software that Microsoft has approved. You cannot easily disable S Mode unless you reinstall the operating system or sign in with a Microsoft account to disable it.

- A:Answer No, this cannot be upgrade to Windows 10 Professional until after you purchase it. It is easy enough to upgrade it to Pro by purchasing the upgrade through the Windows Store for $99.
