The BMW K100RS SE, or Special Edition, was a limited run of the K100RS that featured a lovely blue and white paint job, hand drawn pin stripes, and color-matched hard luggage. It also just happens to be the first production motorcycle with ABS.

The BMW K100RS SE featured a 987cc liquid-cooled inline-4 engine, which was a stressed member of the frame. Nowadays it’s a great budget sport-tourer with a reputation for reliability. There weren’t many flaws, though it was a bit heavy and early models had some vibration problems – especially when compared with the ultra-smooth K75. Still, it’s a properly good-looking 80s bike and the luggage adds tremendous practicality. For more on the K100RS, check out this Retrospective on Rider magazine.

The odometer shows just over 60k miles but these bikes are legendary for their reliability and ability to easily cover over 100k. Everything (including the ABS) is said to work great, and it comes with several upgrades: Fox shock, Race Tech fork internals, Staintune exhaust, VDO gauges (oil temp, voltage), and Corbin seat with removable back rest. The original seat is included as well, plus it’s got the OEM saddlebags, OEM bag liners, tool kit, and OEM cover.
