14–15 cm (5½-6 in)

  • Greyish-brown face
  • Pale grey, rather indistinct, supraloral spots
  • Blackish lores
  • Pale post-ocular stripe
  • Dark greyish-brown forehead

Distribution

South America: found from eastern Paraguay to south-eastern Brazil, northern Uruguay and north-eastern Argentina.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Dense undergrowth of lowland and montane evergreen forests.

Behaviour

Diet

Their main diet is arthropods.
